Today, the service was horrible! Besides it being busy, certainly can't help that but why it went all downhill was due to the customer service. The cashier, Monika, seemed to be angry at all customers whose order she took from the time they walked in until the time they walked out. Everyone with the exception of one yoinger male Latino, whom she smiled and gave eye contact, changed her tone and mannerisms for good okay service while everyone else did not.
Many of the customers waiting for food were served their orders out of order, some even voicing their complaints out loud. No satisfactory effort to settle them or ensure that their orders were on the way was made by Monika. There was one young lady (didn't get her name) that at least attempted but the lead in the front - nothing. Just sharp, critical looks and ignoring the fact that customers were upset and growing impatient by the minute. No apologies or thanks for waiting, nothing!
To add more insult to injury, the chaos continued as we were the 3rd to last to order but the last customers to receive our order. Typically this would not be an issue but the young Latino guy I mentioned earlier, well he literally ordered food and was served in less than 5 minutes! He ordered food, chicken, a meal and was served in less than 5 minutes of waiting time. Literally everyone who ordered, some only waiting for items like side items had a much longer wait time - how was this even possible to walk in and walk out, food in hand after being in the store all of 7 minutes???
I questioned Monika about this and her attitude turned up a notch. She did even acknowledge my question but did turn and inquire about my order to the kitchen staff. A minute or so later, zoila!, my order was ready. I watched the staff person (later found out this was the "manager") pull already cooked chicken tenders from the holding bin full of tenders. Monika, again, handed me my order. No apologies, no thanks, no eye contact, no smiling, asked if I needed sauce or ketchup.....again, ignoring all that just happened. At least she's consistent.
I let her know my request but also inquired about what took so long with my order (I'd waited close to 20 minutes at this time) and the gentleman who came after me, the young Latino guy, walked in and out in minutes. I watched every other person before sit impatiently for their orders. Monika replied, in a snide manner and as if she just made up something on the spot, she was waiting for the tenders. Really, the same tenders that were full and hanging out in the basket in the back?
I asked if there was a manager, same girl I mentioned earlier, later learned her name was Rosa, who further injured my confidence that one can get good fast food customer service. I voiced my concerns letting her know calmly that the service today was abysmal and the cashier, well....lets say less than friendly. She gave a generic "I'm sorry" as she was simply going through the motions. She didn't ask me why or what happened. No interest in finding out if something went wrong or right. No promise things will be better or will change. No apologies or thanks for your patience. Nothing.
I left and that pretty much wraps up my encounter at this establishment. Customers deserve better service no matter where a location is geographically. The service level here is and was completely unacceptable and will hurt this business. I know I'll think twice before returning which is such a shame since it is located in such a...
Read moreSo I never eat Popeye's and after this visit I remember why. I originally ordered online from another location and when I arrived they said they didn't see any online orders from me. Then I showed my email confirmation, and then magically...... they saw it. But...they only had spicy chicken. I was told I would have to wait 15 minutes for them to make some more. I declined, canceled my online order for a refund and went to another Popeyes. When I got to the other Popeyes I was able to place my order. This time I wanted to add some tenders but the cashier said they were out. So ok no big deal. I thought I saw some tenders on the heat rack but, since I was told they were out I thought nothing of it. Then I watch her put chicken in a box and yell out 6pc tenders. I was confused. So I asked, "I thought you were out of tenders". she tells me, "Well, if you order it online we have to make it". WHAT!!!! . And this is exactly why I don't go to Popeyes. Not to mention when I got home the wings I ordered were ghost pepper chicken wings. So when I called to complain, I was offered $20 off the next purchase. No thank you, I just learned an expensive $50 lesson on why I dont and should not go to...
Read moreI've been to so many Popeyes that I'm really sad if I put this one on Avalon and El Segundo establishment. Are starting to like off, first of all the gravy, supposed to be nice and creamy and brown. Now it looks like if it was turkey syrup. Also, Popeyes mashed potato and gravy. We have some kind of ground beef or something. Now it doesn't even have that it's just plain gravy. I'm not really sure what's going on with this franchise. Are used to love coming to this Popeye. But I'm starting to regret not coming to this establishment. Ask for my recommendation of the establishment?? I don't recommend Norma. But if you wanna find out for yourself, Covina head, your opinion is welcome to respond to my post and comment of this...
