Food is usually great, TERRIBLE SERVICE
Every time I go here, the employees seem irritated and unhappy. Management, if you're reading this...you are at fault. Granted, you can have bad people sure. But it isn't rocket science. It's food and people. Two things that go well together.
We've gone in to order food to go and every time we get to the register part, the cashier either doesn't offer chips, THAT COME WITH THE MEAL or they don't even offer the drink and chips with the meal. At times I wonder if I'm being charged for both and yet never received them. Might be my fault for not looking at the price but still, I've worked in several restaurants including these chains and you always ask the customer because this contributes to upselling and increased revenue. Come on management. Train them better.
There is one very large, and unfortunately, gross woman who was working one day. I mention she was kind of gross looking because her body was dipping into the food pans. She had guacamole and sour cream marks all over her apron from leaning over into the food. This was disgusting to me. Cross contamination is a real food concern you should all think about.
I had 3 people in front of me before I got to place my order. 7 or 8 people came in behind me and she had the nerve to tell, and announce that they were "out of queso cheese, so if anyone came expecting to get any, now would be a good time to change our minds and eat somewhere else." I cannot make this story up. Management or the owners, if you have an employee soliciting out loud for money to be spent somewhere else, FIRE THAT EMPLOYEE. THEY ARE LAZY AND DONT DESERVE A JOB. YOU EARN A JOB.
There's also a young female, brown hair just out of her teen years...who's a manager or assistant manager. She always runs the register usually. She also always has an attitude. Any time you ask to add chips, she gets an attitude and almost rolls her eyes, again, irritated that she and the others have to actually do their jobs. They wonder why they're paid $8 an hour. If they make more...they don't deserve it. The job isn't hard. Their lives might be...outside of work. But if management was doing a good job being good leaders...and good examples...maybe the employees would be inspired to do the right thing and just show a little more effort and care. I don't even care if it's fake...just don't show your negative qualities when I'm giving you my money and time.
Lastly, my wife went one last time to do a pick up order. They left out 2 items we paid for. Some new girl we haven't noticed, snapped at my wife asking "well, where are they?" WE NEVER GOT THEM. So you tell us. What kind of show are you running here Qdoba?
Maybe it's the Comstock area. You get what you pay for.
The sad part is the food taste good 80% of the time. But dealing with that grade F customer service, is a no go.
Spend your money at Chipotle or Pancheras.
Management get it together or get...
Read moreIf you’re looking for the worst customer service in Kalamazoo, the Qdoba on Gull Road is the place to go. Let me walk you through my experience.
I placed an order online, thinking it would save me time. When I arrived, I was told my food would be ready in “5 minutes.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. I ended up waiting 20 minutes, watching people who ordered after me—not just one or two, but several—get their food first. From the time I placed my order online to when I actually received it, 45 minutes had passed. I could have jumped in line, ordered, eaten my food, and been halfway home before they got around to my online order.
But wait—it gets worse! When I finally received my food, it was incomplete. Two out of the three items I ordered were missing. Annoyed but hopeful, I went back inside to ask for the rest of my order. When I got home, I discovered they still hadn’t gotten it right. Not only was my Smoky Chicken Quesadilla missing, but they had given me someone else’s Grubhub burrito instead. Oh, and the sides I paid for? Nowhere to be found.
To top it all off, that Grubhub burrito wasn’t even good. So thanks for nothing, Suzan D.
In all seriousness, this Qdoba is a disaster. The delays, the mistakes, the sheer chaos of the operation—it’s unacceptable. If you value your time (and your appetite),...
Read moreI love qdoba. I used to live near the Westnedge location and had nothing but positive experience there. We moved closer to this location 2 years ago. 95% of the time the staff is rude and unhappy. They skimp out on toppings as well. 1 ounce of meat, and yes i did weigh it when i got home, is rediculous for a meal that im paying 9 dollar for. Today was my last straw at this location. They never have food stocked, i have had to wait countless times on grilled veggies and they make sure to give you lots of attitiude when you ask them to make you some. Ive gone in as early as 10:00pm and had steak, veggies, rice, and other items completely gone. The staff refuses to make more because they close in an hour! Its rediculous. After yet another disappointing experience today, and walking out before even recieving my food. I will never return. Hopefully the owners ans mgmt can hire some respectful candid workers. And stop skimping your customers on toppings, 1 ounce of...
