We had a mixed experience here. The food came out very slow but the server and manager both apologized for the slow service. It was a Saturday night around 8:30.
Our appetizer was delicious. We got the lobster Spinach queso and it was excellent. We are a big fan of crab dip and this didn't disappoint. Was even better using the bread they give you to dip.
As for our entrees it was hit and miss. My wife got the firebirds chicken pasta and we both thought it was pretty good. The filet i got was delicious and cooked a little under what I had asked for but I think that made it even better. I asked for medium and it was more of a mid-rare. The disappointment was the crab cake and grilled shrimp I added to the meal.
The crab cake literally tasted like burnt oil. Manager offered to have the kitchen make me another one and it came out the same way. Even though I could see the lump crab it tasted nothing like crab. I recommended the manager try one because it was worst crab cake I've ever had in my life and it was expensive for the small size. What was shocking was the server even said our crab cakes aren't very good. I wish she would have told me that when I ordered it.
The grilled shrimp was over cooked and barely edible. It also had a funny taste, almost like it wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Still had a salty sea water taste to it. For the price and amount the seafood part was extremely disappointing.
I would definitely go back and just stick with regular meats next time. I guess the lobster would be ok because our app was delicious. I guess stick with steaks, burgers,...
Read moreDined with in-laws (picky and demanding), wife and daughter (somewhat finicky) for her birthday dinner because the grandparents were in the mood for beef. We arrived after reserving a table online and we were warmly greeted and shown to the perfect corner table. Jason, our waiter, was enthusiastic and very professional. Jason handled questions (and somewhat confused attempts at clarification by members of our party) with patience and good humor. Birthday girl's coconut shrimp was quite good! My broiled salmon over the specialty salad with lime dressing was excellent. In-laws' steaks were prepared as ordered and, when one of them was considered too rare, the Manager attended to it personally--even bringing additional au jus to ensure a moist, flavorful experience. All agreed it was a wonderful choice and we left all feeling full after sharing one order of creme brulee cheesecake and one order of chocolate cake. The kitchen performed well, the serving team performed well and the manager's personal involvement in the satisfaction of my in-law was a welcomed touch. Jason, our enthusiastic--yet mature and unflappable--waiter made the experience for everyone at the table--ask for him by name. And, don't miss the made-to-order special lemonade that was a...
Read moreFirst time visit. Made reservations online for 10 people for my daughters 18th birthday. Our waitress Chrissy showed us to a private room which was perfect for this occasion. Didn’t even request a private room so was a neat surprise. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and that you could see the kitchen while food was cooking. Chrissy took amazing care of us throughout. She was so sweet and the manager came in to check on us as well. Every dish ordered came out at once with a dazzling array of at least 5 waitresses. Special attention was given to us and the service was incredible. Food came fast and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the ribeye with lobster fondue, the seared tuna superfood and the tomahawk pork chop. Everything was delicious. The kitchen sent out a special desert plate with candles for my daughter with the plate inscribed Happy 18th birthday. We had a blast and all the special attention we received did not go unnoticed. We all can’t wait to come back! They made this memorable occasion feel so special and I am so grateful. What a fantastic spot! ...
