I'm sad to have had such a terrible experience at a place so highly rated. I think everyone deserves to know the good and bad though, so here is my experience: I made an appointment for 10 on Saturday, explaining what I wanted on the phone. When I got there at 10 on Saturday, I repeated it all again as it didn't seem like they really used an kind of booking software or client notes (no biggie). I waited for about 35ish minutes before starting a regular polish change on my toes. No problem, I wasn't in a rush. I picked out 2 shades of the same color for my toes from their catalog. They didn't have either, so I was brought two darker and two lighter shades. I picked the lightest shade, which she tested on one toe. Then she insisted we try another, so I said to do a darker one. I said I liked the lighter, but she just sat there? It was weird. I said just do the darker and so she did. Mind you, the shade looked horrible against my complexion. When I went home I removed it immediately. On my fingers, I had dips removed and gel placed. The dip removal was fine at first, but the tech started rushing as more people came in. She ended up burning my ring fingernail with the dremel because of how much surface she was removing from my nails. (That's an important detail for later) She asked if I wanted my nails cut, but I asked for them to just be evened out. I assumed they would be kept in their natural square shape since she started filing immediately without asking which shape. To my surprise, she rounded them all... except my right thumb. When she went to paint the gels, she had forgotten the color I picked. I did not and stated the number. She came back with three other colors, but i was firm about the one I wanted. The fourth color she brought back was the one I asked for to begin with. At this point, I was annoyed. She painted my nails quickly, unevenly, missing some parts of nails, and even getting some gel on my surrounding finger without cleaning it. Frustrated and just wanting to change my toe color, I paid without complaint (service is service after all), and headed to my car. I LIGHTLY bumped my hand on my steering wheel as I moved my purse to the passenger side... and my pinky nail cracked in half. All because she made them so, so thin. I had to pull the broken piece off, leaving my raw nailbed exposed. It will take months to grow back and is incredibly painful. I don't recommend this nail salon. Save yourself the headache and...
Read moreMy first time at Nail Bar & Spa was fine. It was nothing special, however. The amount you pay is what you get. It’s small, there’s little massage time, but they get the job done. I’d been to better places, however I came back for the cheap prices. When I came back for second time, I was excited to try a different choice of manicure and pedicure. When I came, I asked for the hot oil treatment for my nails, that I had previously seen on their website. I asked them for this, and the woman rudely said that they no longer had that massage. I then asked for her to do a design on my nails and she said she couldn’t do that either. What’s a nail spa if you can’t do nails?! When I questioned her, telling her that I saw it on the website and decided to leave because she couldn’t provide me with anything I wanted, she rudely agreed with me. She said “Ok, you can go do it yourself.” Instead of working with me, she left the counter to sit at one of the pedicure chairs, and began speaking to her coworkers. My daughter said when she asked for the hot oil treatment, the man didn’t reply and just began filing her nails. She complained that afterwards, her nails were very thin due to the shaving that she didn’t ask for. They also could not provide her with the nail design she asked for.
Not only was their website not up-to-date, but they did not want to work with us and acted lazy when we asked for anything besides the...
Read moreI came in here to get my nails done for a wedding that I would be flying to another country for and they got everything wrong. They didn't give me the length, shape, or color I wanted. I paid 144 for an acrylic set with gel and sea salt pedicure with gel and I tipped. I called the next day asking if they could fix my nails and if there would be a charge. The man in the phone said no and that I could come in and get them fixed. I decided to get a simpler design because it seemed like they couldn't do the one I originally wanted. As I was getting my nails done my nail tech started adding in more charges. I didn't say anything. I paid 50 and tipped once again. I'm just incredibly disappointed in the business for not honoring my fix and the fact that I now paid over 200 dollars for a set of nails that wasn't all that complicated. They charged me more for length and shape even though it was the length and shape I originally wanted and my first nail tech messed up. I'm not asking for a refund. I am happy with the final design. Just incredibly...
