Was just here for dinner. As I walked in, no one was there to seat us. First impression wasnt good but I gave then the benefit of the doubt since there was 1 waitress taking orders, servicing food and taking take out orders. Once we sat down, told the owner of the place what we wanted to drink, had ordered 3 beverages and only came back with 2. No problem didnt bother us probably miscommunication between owner and the waitress.
We ordered and when the food came out, the fried dumplings did not look at all appetizing. My lady got her food, she had ordered the crunch roll, no where on the menu did it advice that it had any type of spice on it. I tried one before she did and I'm sure if she tried it before me it wouldnt have went well. So we just said no big deal ordered a California roll, she advised us that . That comes out and apparently a California roll only came with cream cheese and crab meat. We ate our food. I thought that the waitress was so busy that she could barely come to the table. I end up realizing that she was playing on her phone behind the front counter instead of refilling our drinks.
I asked for the check and literally didnt see the check for another 20mins. Once she got the check to me and the box I asked for, we waited to see if she would come and grab it. 20 more mins went by and it was just painful to me that I had to leer her down to see if she would come and grab it from me but obviously realized that she was playing on her phone. After taking my kid to the bathroom, I got fed up and ended up bringing it to her.
As I looked around the place the other 2 tables that had customers in them left long before we started ordering, still had their dirty dishes laying on the table as we left an hour and half later. We walked to the car that was parked right in front of the store, sat in it. Waited to see if the waitress would clean up any of the mess. 5mins pass by still at the counter hunched over and texting away.
Needless to say we were very disappointed with this place coming for the first time. Service was horrible, food was mediocre, place wasnt clean. Had a 94 rating for health inspection, they only had 2 menus in the place due to the fact that we had to wait for the menu from the people behind us.
This will be the first and last time we ever come here. I wish i could give this place less than a star but...
Read moreMy wife and I have been eating at China Q II for years. I recently went to update my review for it...and realized that I never actually got around to writing one. Thus, I have to remedy that as soon as possible because this is one of Concord's dining treasures.
The restaurant is located on a strip mall near some other stores, but it truly stands out from the rest once you step inside. It has a good atmosphere, made all the better since there is the constant aroma of delicious food wafting to the main dining room from the back.
The food itself is excellent. I can only speak to my favorite -- General Tzo's chicken -- which is the best I have ever had. The chicken is always spicy and crispy, the rice is always seasoned perfectly, and the spring roll is crunchy and tasty. I can also add that their donuts are amazing. Be prepared to eat several in a row when you first get them since they're pleasantly hot, which makes the sugar they're coated in become sticky and delicious.
Since we discovered this place about ten years ago, we've taken several of our friends and family here. None of them have been disappointed, and all of them have asked to go back. The food is that good.
Please do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You...
Read moreRight...this place is terrible, at least the delivery portion. I got one of those menus in the mail and saw that they deliver so I figured why not, I'll have it for lunch. I decided to get the Philly roll and Chicken Teriyaki with a 20oz Pepsi. The lady speaks broken English and has a really bad phone. The broken English is understandable so I managed through it and finally got my order through, and she said the guy would be there in 40 minutes. He came on time which is shocking to me because most delivery people are at least 10 minutes later than the specified time. He forgot the Pepsi, I still gave him a tip because it's common courtesy. The Sushi was not the worst Sushi I've ever had, but it was close. Very close. Wasn't made that well and it didn't taste anywhere near good. Tasted old and like it was in a freezer. The Chicken Teriyaki..well...I had a few surprises. Got through the chicken fine in it and I found out that in the rice there were bits of meat as well. All of which had blood on it like it wasn't cooked properly and it was scattered through the rice. Rice a bits of dried blood on it as well. Broccoli was undercooked and it was just bad all around. Do not deliver from this...
