I had not been to D'Angelo in years. It is a little expensive for what you get but the steak and cheese sub I ordered was fresh and tasty. And, it was very quick to prepare and cook. You could tell that the staff was all on the same page and on top of things so it all ran smoothly and quickly after ordering. I was kind of annoyed that, after waiting behind one man that was picking up several prepaid orders that the woman could not easily locate, then two other customers, that when I stepped up to place my order and after she greeted me she called a man, three people behind me, up next to me at the counter to pick up. She must have recognized him having a phone order. He was not prepaid and there is one line for all with no distinction for phone orders. Being called out of order he was not ready to pay and took as long as anyone else. I understand having a phone order line and even the idea of a regular getting a bit of VIP service but this is not good practice. She knew I waited patiently behind the man picking up several orders who kindly apologized to the line for the time it took- even though he did nothing wrong, but we are all presumably on our lunch break and it would have been better to just continue the line as it is intended. My timo is important as well and I was meeting someone just for the lunch hour so I was a little bummed thar the line took so long. However, she was very nice and had good intentions thinking that she could quickly help the other gentleman and everything else was fast so it was more annoying than a reason to...
Read moreI have never had an issue here over the years but the last couple times have been not great. Today, I place an online order and showed up a little before it was expected to be ready. I understood there might be a small wait. I got there and the woman "Manager" says that I was there and she needed the food down. She states that she will make my sandwich right away and asks another employee to make the 2 lobster rolls. I then proceed to wait. I see the 3 staff members make the next 4 or 5 orders and it has now been over 15 minutes of waiting. I ask one of 3 employees if he has any idea how much longer it will take for my order and he had no idea what i was waiting for. I informed him and he said "oh I made that" and proceed to grab the bag of my food that has been sitting behind the counter in the pick up area. I know it can be busy and you can lose track of people, but I was the only 1 waiting IN THE FRONT LOBBY and she had notified all of them that I was there, so why was I not addressed by them after a few minutes. There was enough time for 1 male employee to be on his phone and try to go to the bathroom while I waited. This was unacceptable today and I WILL NOT visit this location again. It will be worth the drive up to louden road...
Read moreMy husband and i came in and he ordered a sub and i didnt order at that moment because i wasnt sure what i wanted so I ended up ordering immediately after and the woman that was cooking (appeared to be the manager) said that I will have to wait until she gets all the online orders finished which I didn't have a problem with but being that I ordered immediately after my husband she made me wait almost 30 min before I got my sub when the one worker said she would make mine and the "manager" made the statement "she's just gonna have to wait" my husband was waiting on me but went ahead and ate without me while i waited so long. I am only sharing this so that the store restaurant can see how this can affect business in how you treat people. It's my prayer that D'Angelo restaurant has great prosperity but learn how to treat customers with respect. Thank you for reading my post. I hope it makes a difference in how she treats the next customer. However I did see that she works very hard and...
