Chubb Theatre — Attraction in Concord

Just recently attended a show at this theatre for the first time. Theatre instructions for the show state that "theatre doors open an hour before show time" and encourage attendees to show up early for door opening to get food and beverages and souvenirs, etc... HOWEVER, once they start letting everyone into their tiny lobby, they keep the doors to the auditorium closed so no one could go take their seat after making their pre-show purchases. I stood shoulder to shoulder with what seemed like 1,000 people, all holding their souvenirs and food and drinks in this tiny lobby, wondering what the local FD would think of such a scene, because it was VERY tight and VERY uncomfortable for approximately 40 minutes, at which point they opened the doors to allow people to take their seats just 20 minutes before show start time. The show was wonderful, the whole situation mentioned above was not....

Chubb Theare at the Capitol Center for Arts is one of our favorite places to see artists perform. The theater itself is beautiful. Whether you are on the floor or in the balcony, you have a good view of the stage. We prefer the smaller like this one and Lowell Auditorium. Both theatres get some great performers in each year and they are far less hassle than the bigger venues in terms of getting in and out and dealing with crowds and unruly people. Ticket sales are announced well ahead of time and you are usually able to get decent seats at reasonable.proces before...

My first visit there was last Wednesday, when my bandmates and I saw Snarky Puppy and the C4Trio. Fantastic sound, awesome stage, wonderful atmosphere, kind staff. My only issue is that the security there stopped this 1 girl from dancing (she was not disruptive), but DIDN'T remove this loudmouth blowhard who was sitting 4 seats over, and who actually got up, made the show ABOUT HIM, ran over, jumped onto the stage, landing with his back, and then running off into the crowd again. To that guy, and the security there, use some better judgement. Otherwise,...
