The Hotel Concord gets 5 stars from me. Unlike many of my other reviews regarding hotels, this hotel delivers what is promised and that is all I ask for. I pay a luxury price, I expect a perfect experience; the Hotel Concord nailed it. This place is spotlessly clean, modern, and the amenities are high end. Things like chocolates in the room, electronic curtain controls, slippers, and boutique toiletry products in the bathroom are very nice touches- all part of what I consider a high end experience. With that being said, management should consider the following items for correction which were pushing unacceptable. 1). A $40.00 dollar check in early fee, when the room was already ready when I arrived around 1:00ish is really a slap in the face. The Terrace Suites are pushing $400.00-$500.00 a night and to ask your guest to pay an extra $40.00 dollars for checking in when the room was already ready seemed a little tacky on the part of such a high end establishment. It is important to note, that I would have had no problem paying the fee if the room was dirty and it needed to be expedited with house keeping to get me in before regular check in time. This really needs to be waved for guests at this price point, especially if the room is already ready. 2). The parking situation at the hotel is atrocious. Now to be fair, there are plenty of spaces in their attached parking garage, and the parking is free. However, all night long, from my terrace view, I watched a plethora of shady characters entering and exiting this non gated/ non secure parking garage. I witnessed everything from skate boarding on the roof of the garage, to a game of catch football. I fully expected my car to be on blocks when I woke up in the morning. This is complete ludicrous for a 4 diamond hotel. Hire a private security firm to do rounds on the garage so that guest cars are safe. 3). Give the nice blonde lady at the front desk some help. She shouldn't be trying to handle guests at concierge and stocking the muffins for breakfast at the same time. That is complete non-sense and its embarrassing at this price point. There should be a dedicated person at the front desk at all times for guest needs, and a dedicated person for the continental breakfast.
All and all, keep up the good work, especially the cleanliness of the hotel. I will be back for a visit in December. The nice front desk girl (refreshing in 2025), the views from the terraces, and the amenities make it worth it for the price. Hopefully the Hotel Concord has some security for the parking garage and won't charge me $40.00 bucks when I come back...
Read moreThis hotel didn't miss a detail!!!!! Me and my family were on vacation and I couldn't be more excited to stay in this hotel. The pictures and reviews made it very appealing but seeing/experiencing it in person was one of the highlights of our trip. A little hidden gem in a cute, quaint area that offers so much to do within walking distance. Parking on the 3rd floor is included! Garage felt secure and clean. The garage has a 7'6" clearance which made it easy for my car/rooftop carrier to be stored overnight. Check in area was tastefully decorated as was the rest of the hotel. It shares a space with other businesses but don't let that fool you as it made it even more exciting; giving it an exclusive feel. The gentleman assisting me with check in was polite, professional, and efficient. I also saw the owner (didn't meet him personally). The room key has to be placed against a sensor in the elevator and after 3-5 seconds, it takes you to your floor; no stopping. The room far exceeded my expectations. Extremely clean, and comfortable. Details included an Alexa, mini fridge, Keurig with Starbucks pods and Celestial Seasonings tea. The tv channels were great and the remote made navigation easy. Blackout shade for window. The bathroom....gorgeous. brass detailing on shower, little round mirror, lighting, hooks, and in the shower. The colors and different elements used to pull the look off really complemented eachother. They provide complimentary turn down service. The lighting was dimmed, soft music was playing, there were 2 pairs of slippers and chocolates (non-dairy; soy) on our pillows. This was such a nice service. The hygiene products were the best I've ever used in a hotel; great quality and smelled good as well. There's a speakeasy, Chuck's BARbershop a few blocks down, and Red River theater down on the lower level of the hotel. Both provided great experiences. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent. High quality. Iced coffees, organic hot teas, juices, almond milk, fresh pastries, oatmeal, fruit, and cereal assortments. Check out was a breeze. This hotel just celebrated their 1 year anniversary and I see them sticking around for awhile. Great stay. I would've given it 10 stars if I could've. Will...
Read moreI was really hoping to have a good experience at this hotel with all the great reviews. Unfortunately management didn’t want to have great customer service with me. The lady working at the counter was extremely nice. After getting checked in and getting into our room I quickly noticed we didn’t have access to the balcony. I went down and spoke to the nice lady about us not having access. She said there were plenty of rooms available that do have balcony access but she would have to check with management to see if they could switch our room. She also said it would be an up charge of around $100. I said that would be fine. She called back to tell me that since we booked through a third party booking .com that there was nothing they could do. I’ve stayed at many hotels with booking and most welcome my business and are happy to take my money. Id be willing to guess 90% of thier business comes from third party bookings. Ive had issues at hotels before and if there was a mistake and they can fix it they do. Unfortunately the concord hotel could have helped fix this mistake but didn’t! I’m not sure I will ever bring my business back to them. Especially after their lack of customer service by management and housekeeping.
When I arrived the king room we got was not impressive. The bed was nice. The shower was nice. But that was about it. Couldn’t access the balcony, your view was the strip mall with Burlington coat and Joannes fabric.
Housekeeping BEWARE:::::
If you want to have all your personal items touched then this is your hotel. We put the tag on the door for our room not to be serviced. After coming back we see our room was serviced.
They touched all our personal items, my deodorant, my beard oil, my cloths, my drinks even my necklace with my dead friends ashes in it. With covid going around like crazy your cleaners shouldn’t be organizing and going through all of our things. If I leave my hotel room with my necklace in a spot I want it in the same spot untouched by your cleaning crew. I was in town to get a neck tattoo and that was the only reason it wasn’t around my neck. I mean they touched everything we had in that room. It’s...
