Hanabi Sushi — Restaurant in Concord

Just moved into a new area and craving sushi so I found Hanabi Sushi on DoorDash. They had good ratings on DoorDash and Google Maps and most all, it was only a 10 min drive from me. Saw that they had 2 sushi rolls for about $20 which is good deal to begin with. And I also found the sashimi special had most of the fish that I like and the price was reasonable. I wasn’t sure if it came with just 1 pc of each that they listed (salmon, yellowtail, tuna, albacore and red snapper) or 2. That’s common for small portions for $30. To my surprise, they gave me 4 big pieces of each. I didn’t even eat the salad or soup because I was so full from eating the sashimi and sushi rolls. I ordered the food to go but right when I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the sushi chefs and they thanked me for my order on my way out. Very friendly staff. Food was very good. I can't even begin to tell you how good the seafood udon was but I will try. I say that when I drink sake & rum it's like someone just a gave a great big hug. When I put the salmon in my mouth it was like a very attractive woman pressed her body against mine and gave me the sexy kiss while hugging me. The broth is amazing. I dislike vegetables and never eaten a cucumber in my life. I not only ate the cucumber & carrots & onions but I loved it. It's like the broth makes everything better.

I had the hot sake, spicy tuna rolls, sake (salmon) roll. The spicy tuna could have been a little spicier but I think they didn't want it to overpower the taste of the tuna. I am unsure of why exactly but I suspect that having many poke places in California and in such close proximity, as well, as the fact that here in America good ideas are collectivized and used by many cultures. I present to you my favorite dish from Hanabi Sushi would be their Sashimi Salad: a great example of what they can do with regards to delicious ingredients.

I would also suggest their Unagi Don as well for anyone who wants to have something a little more hardier. The sauce alone is divinely inspired I reckon.

I enjoy the environment as it is conducing to relaxation and contemplation despite often being busy with eager and hungry customers.
