First off I like your response!! Must be a prefilled response because I see it for about every bad experience. Anyways, well we attempted to dine in with myself, wife, son and mother. We came in and asked if they could seat us at a table because my mother had hip replacement surgery and booths are too hard for her. After waiting a bit which didn't make any sense because I walked through the restaurant and seen 9 different tables open yet here we sat waiting. Finally got sat and wouldn't you know we were taken to a booth. When we brought it to sheree the servers attention she blankly looked at me and said I guess we could wait another 20 mins or so before they could get us a table, even though there was at least 6 open tables in sight. By this time my mother just insist we go ahead and get our food and she will wait in the car where she can actually sit. So now I decided to get two of the orders to go while my wife and son eat. Well as soon as sheree seated us she handed us a menu and asked if we were ready to order, wait what?? What's the point of handing us the menu if we just know what we want. I asked her for a few minutes to actually look at the menu, literally 62 seconds later she's back asking us yet again. So I asked if we could actually have enough time to look over then menu.btw never asked us if we wanted something to drink, or asked us about tasting any wine or start a appetizer. Just right to us getting our main course and getting out the door. So all in all she came back 5 times to rush our order. Never have I ever felt so rushed or pushed so hard to get out the door. I have worked in the food industry for 18 years and this is absolutely a unacceptable way to conduct business. You should arrive to make the customer feel great about the transaction and walk away feeling like their money and time we're well spent so they not only come back, but also tell others about their great experience. Well by this time we all just want to get the food and enjoy whatever we could put of this trip. We were in town for a couple days helping family adjust to losing someone close. It had been a terribly long day and no one was up to cooking. While taking our order I was chastised for asking to put two of the orders in for take out and getting them to go at the end of the dinning in. After some debate and trying to talk me out of it, sheree rolled her eyes and walked off. Not 3 mins later both orders were brought to the table in bags and I was told I could open them or definitely couldn't eat them while I waited. Wow. I'm paying and being told how and when I could eat what I'm paying for. I picked the bag up and moved it out of the way, the bag felt ice cold like it had been in a fridge all night. I finally got a waiters attention and asked if he could find our waiter. 7 mins later she came to the table and told me I got my food so what's the problem, I am paying for what I thought was fresh food not some frozen left overs from God knows when. I told her it was unacceptable and that I wanted fresh dishes.she informed me that this was Olive garden s practice to make and chill dishes that are ordered to go?? What?? That makes less then sense! I say no way paying for frozen food. She tells me I ordered it so I must pay for it. After debating it with me for several mins without me accepting her lies she went back and brought me the same bag she took to begin with and told me yet again it is how it's done here. At this time I asked for the manager, she said she would get him but just like our drinks,he never came. My wife is pregnant with our daughter and has food allergies, so we ordered the gluten sensitive menu. We were VERY CLEAR and had her repeat back to us the order just to be safe. Well the salad had everything on it we asked for it not to have, the pasta only comes in one gluten free pasta and it isn't rigatoni. So not only was the service absolutely terrible, this server almost poisoned my wife and unborn daughter. We more then understand how it works with it being out of the kitchen , but we never expected...
Read moreI don’t really write bad reviews, but I was just so disappointed all around last night. We went to have a date night. We sat at the bar which we normally do. After I ate over half of my 5 cheese Ziti I found a red hair in my food like cooked into the dish. Which just kinda sucks overall in itself. We didn’t get breadsticks at all. The bartender was only behind the bar for like 2 minutes at a time to make a quick drink and then would disappear for 10-15 minutes. I felt bad because she seemed to be so overwhelmed and was running around like crazy to deliver dishes to tables in the restaurant and stuff while there was no less than 5-6 people standing around in the take out counter on their phones and laughing and just handing out. There was milk that was left out the entire 2 hours we were there and then was used to make a drink. Cartons and trash was strewed all over the bar top and the counter behind the bar the entire time we were there. It just felt like such a run down grimy experience which is so sad because we normally love Olive Garden and the atmosphere. I didn’t bring any of this up to the bartender because I felt so bad that she was so overwhelmed and doing so much. She was very kind when she was around, but we only saw her like 15-20 minutes of the whole 2 hours we were there. We had finished eating and was ready for our check and she came back behind the bar and made a drink really fast and left again before we could ask for the check, and then she didn’t come back to the bar for over 30 minutes after we had finished eating so we sat there with no drinks or anything. I do feel bad writing this review but I just wanted to make it all known for others. It might’ve just been a bad night for Olive Garden, but I would feel a little more empathetic if there wasn’t 5 or more people just standing around not working at any given time. If any of them would’ve been delivering food then the poor bartender would’ve been able to stay behind the bar and have the time she needs to clean up and make drinks and take care of...
Read moreHere is my experience and if you don’t want the same choose something else.....After a family trip to the zoo we decided to go to Olive Garden. As a side note the family and I don’t go out much because we have 4 children and outside the home dinners can get expensive. Prior to arriving to this Olive Garden on Lindbergh in St. Louis county I prepped my children to be on their best behaviors as this is a nice restaurant and people will be trying to enjoy their meals (keep in mind we as a family we’re having a great day). Once we walked in the door all 4 of my kids sat down on the bench and waited patiently (I was so proud of them). I then turned my attention to the young man (hosts) who obviously hates his job, talks to his co workers and the customers waiting for a table like “dirt”. I then asked for a manager, so this man walks up....says nothing, never professionally introduces himself and never asked me once what my concerns were or issues. He turned to an employee of his, asked her what was going on and then walked away. It wasn’t until later I found out he was the manager! Never once throughout our visit did he ask us about our earlier experience. It is clear to me that these 2 employees don’t care about their customers. I spent $100 dollars, which normally I wouldn’t care because like is said earlier we don’t get out much, but since my experience the minute I walked in the door it made me Disgusted and pistoff that I wasted my money there. We were having a great day prior to this visit and it was ruined the minute we walked in the door. If your having a bad day and you want to make it worst, then I suggest going to this location. If you’re having a great day and you want to keep it great, please go somewhere else.
Lastly, this post probably won’t go anywhere as there are other complaints about this host on Google reviews and they have yet to do anything about it.
Thanks for...
