Absolutely disgusting. Im genuinely dissapointed in how this restaurant has fallen. My mother got the pasta with clams, the clams were mealy, the only "sauce" was the clam juices and marinara. My sister and I had gotten the crab and shrimp alfredo pictured here, the menu states its made with REAL crab, the plates came out and it was imitation crab, which i have no issue with it if they had told me, but this immitation crab was disgusting, didnt taste cooked, was poorly chopped. And that was just the begining, the cheese wasnt melted, shrimp were mealy and over cooked, the SAUCE something that literally cant be screwed up was bland and watery, ragu out of a can would have tasted better. The server was very apologetic. So i have no qualms with the servers. We came here a few years ago and it was excellent im just so dissapointed in whats happened

25 years ago, my husband and I had our first date at the Italian Oven in Butler. We wanted to go back but since the Butler location closed, we traveled to Connellsville. We had the best time! The food was amazing and our waitress Robin was phenomenal. She even surprised us with a piece of cake! Thank you for helping us recreate a moment that happened 25 years ago, we'll definitely be back!

I took my mother and my sister out to eat during their last night here. The service and food were wonderful.

When we finished the meal though and I went to pay, a 3.5% surcharge was added to my bill for using a debit card. This was not disclosed to me until I asked. The hostess pointed to a sign that stated the surcharge.

When I questioned her why the prices weren't just increased by a few cents across all transactions to cover the surcharge she said we just don't want to raise prices and how unfair that would be.

I disagree. It's the cost of doing business especially in 2024 in a digital age. I wasn't offered the pin pad to enter my code that bypasses this or is charged differently to the merchant as I read it.

I looked up the merchant charge and it looks like visa transactions are 2.4%. Does this mean you are profiting off of the surcharge transaction as well?

While I appreciate the business and the food, I felt this was a poor finish to an otherwise...

I love this little place and have always supported it. We try to support local as much as we can. I was so happy when new ownership took over because the food was so much better. This is now the second time in a row in two weeks our food was really really bad. Today we ordered the shrimp pasta dish for take out. When we got it home and opened it up, it smelled so bad of rotten old shrimp you could not even eat it. We called in to let them know and to not serve that shrimp to any other customers and they just said thanks for letting them know and no apologies or anyway to make it right. Unfortunately this will be our last trip there for a long while. I wish them the best and hope they go back to the food when the first...
