Don’t let the appearance fool you! This place is amazing! We weren’t sure if we should go but we read some of the reviews and decided to try it. While we were there we saw cars coming and going and spoke to some of people who were ordering. We decided to tried a few different things. We thought we were going to have to eat in our car, but then the owner told us they have a building next to the ordering window to sit down and eat. So we went for it and had a fest. The brisket! Where do I start, So juicy and soft and flavorful! The bbq sauce that comes with it was one of the best I’ve ever had! The pulled pork! Wow. Just wow. The smoked flavor is perfect. The meat was juicy and yummy! We also tried the ribs. They were cooked to perfection. I would recommend any of those 3 choices. The meats were perfect and delicious. We wanted some sides they had but they were sold out. So we only got to try the Mac and cheese and fries. Fries were good. Mac and cheese was good. We also order the pecan cheesecake and when I opened it to look at it. The piece was huge! The crusted bottom they did not cheap out in that. It was thick and the cheesecake it self was so good. Good is an understatement. It was amazing. I was defiantly surprised by this place and we definitely will be coming back. I say get there early because once they are sold out of an item that is it for the day.

Also the owner provided great customer service. He came in to check in on us while we were eating to make sure to see if we needed anything and to make sure the food was the way we expected it.

We will be coming back for sure. They are only open Thursday-Saturday so if you feeling bbq only know you can get it those days until sold out.

This past week Guardian Industries celebrated our 30th Anniversary at our Richburg, SC location. As part of the celebration we wanted to serve a steak dinner with all the fixings to all our hard working employees and contractors. Our goal was to serve approximately 600 steaks in a 4 day period. Finding a caterer to accommodate that is not always easy. Fortunately, we contacted Buttermilk's BBQ located in Chester. Jane and Rob came out to the facility and asked first what they could do to help us achieve a successful celebration. We were so impressed with their enthusiasm and attention to detail and customer service that we immediately gave them the job. Needless to say, our expectations for a successful event were far exceeded and most of it had to do with the outstanding job that Buttermilk's BBQ did. They did an amazing job, from cooking 600 steaks on site on a charcoal grill to serving 600 folks a great tasting steak with all the trimmings (which they prepared as well). I commend Jane, Rob and their entire staff for their outstanding food, unparalleled customer service and an attention to detail that was spot on. We will certainly be calling...

Stopped by Saturday for lunch. There were eight of us but we were seated promptly. Service was excellent and the waitress did a great job keeping up with the requests from our table. Overall, we were quite disappointed in the high-priced low quality food served at this restaurant. The highlight of my meal was the hot-fried breaded cheese curds which were quite tasty. All of the food was served luke-warm instead of hot as expected. The pulled pork was a bit overcooked and on the mushy-side with a rather bland taste. The french fries were served limp and greasy – not at all appetizing. The bacon fried cabbage was quite disappointing with an old off taste. The green beans were absolutely terrible – reheated canned green beans served luke warm. The hamburger was overcooked.

Until and unless the cooking staff for this restaurant wakes up and starts to cook quality BBQ food at reasonable prices, I definitely would...
