I recently had the pleasure of dining at Firepan Korean BBQ and Bar, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Here's my review based on various aspects of the restaurant.

The freshness of the ingredients used was evident in each bite. Moreover, the portion sizes were substantial, leaving me satisfied at the end of the meal.

• Service: The service provided by the staff was commendable. The waitstaff was attentive throughout the meal, promptly attending to our needs. Notably, on discovering that it was one of our companion's birthday, our friendly waitress even offered a complimentary dessert to celebrate the occasion.

• Ambience and Atmosphere: The ambiance of the restaurant was quite spacious, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. The decor was pleasing to the eye, with a good use of colors and aesthetically pleasing elements. The lighting was slightly on the darker side, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere. 1/26/ 2023 I understand this was a soft opening, with that being said, it’s the only reason they even got 2 stars instead of one star. Both members of my party were ready to leave before we could fill our bellies. I can tell the staff has never had Korean bbq before and this generation z service/ hosting is disgraceful to true Korean Barbecuing. They are very hands off and we had to ask for sauce, silverware, utensils to cook/ cut the meat, refills, & guess which for might even be good. Our server laughed and joked with his peers more than worrying about our accommodations. Every time we requested something it took a minimum of 10-15 minutes just to see him again. They never refilled the sides that come with KBBQ like rice or kimchi or salad. He didn’t even ask. The meats were poorly portioned for our party of 3 and tasted very bland. If I were the owner I would actually fire the whole staff, recruit actual Koreans, or true Korean Barbecue lovers that will uphold the integrity of the food and culture. If not that, task them homework assignments like to go to Iron Age, Meat Project, Honey Pig, & Sõ so they know what Korean BBQ is all about. As of right now, this place is very sad and ruining the reputation of the delightful Falls Church Location. The owner should be aware of this and make corrections swiftly. This felt like having Famous Dave’s in the mall, not FIREPAN or even Korean BBQ. This was like Spoiled little generation z Americans trying to serve Korean barbecue. Please send them back to Texas Roadhouse where they belong, not where I go to find zen and recharge for the week. I feel better spending my money on Cantonese Chinese food than at this place currently. I won’t return and definitely won’t recommend until they have 4.5 stars that way I can tell they made improvements.

1/26/2024 - So... Since last year... This restaurant has a new rating of 4.6 and I said I wouldn't return until they got a 4.5.... I would like to apply a standing ovation. Firepan of Woodbridge has finally taken the title of my top three NOVA KBBQ Resturants. Lilly was my server and she was EXTRAORDINARY and quite exceptional. In fact my top 3 server experiences in Resturants to date. She was attentive, accomadating, provided recommendations based upon new items and drinks, prompt from changing the grill to clearing completed dishes and refills. I would love to personally thank Lilly for being the direct correlation to my Friday night date at Korean BBQ and making the best experience someone could ever ask for. Yall better pay her well to keep her firepan. From Management to Servers to host, there has been a 900 degree turnaround to this establishment and I officially don't need to go to iron age if this is in my back yard 😎😁😉
