As the waiter somewhat said, we don't advertise, so unless someone told you about this place, you are lost. It did take a minute to find the place, as it is tucked away beside the bridge. GPS will sort of get you there, but leaves you on the main road. The outside looks like an old, worn out building, well... it is. The inside is clean, nice, eclectic, bustling with white tablecloths (with paper over them), and happy people eating very good food. So, the food. Everything is FRESH. If it's not fresh, they are out of it. Speaking of selling out... we were there for an "early" dinner, and they were already sold out of some things - like asparagus. The food does NOT disappoint. We opted for tuna bites for appetizer. The only complaint - not enough sauce. I'm not a sauce and dressing gal, but I would've liked to had a little to dip my tuna in + a little more Romaine. I know it is a bed or garnish, but I loved the Romain together with the fish and sauce. They have a good wine list. They serve wine and beer, soft drinks, water, and tea. Our wine was very good. I had Shrimp and Grits. go for the mild unless you REALLY like spice. It was so unusual for Shrimp and Grits. The grits and cheese are in a spicy ball which sits upon the stew, or gumbo, and shrimp come on top of that as well. Delicious. Hubby opted for the grilled Grouper, Okra, and Cajun Mac and Cheese. Everything was delicious. We carried home 2 portions of the Bourbon Pecan Bread Pudding, which I read one of the best bread puddings someone had eaten. We did not agree with that statement. It is very good, and the sauce is very good. It, in our opinion, was too dense. Still, no complaints. Our waiter, Brent, was very, very good. There was a wait of about 20 minutes. We thought if we got there early.... nope - the early birds come in first, and then it slacks off. OH! The MUSIC!!! I LOVED their playlist of songs!!! It was perfect for the mood. We had such an enjoyable night. Date night. First night I've had makeup on in a year. :) Solid 5* We will be back while we are in Pensacola.

Visited here because my sister knew the family that owns the place. We didn't mention it (so no special treatment). We had to wait an hour which is why I docked 1 star for service. Not for the wait but for the fact that there is nowhere to wait but some chairs out by the side under a tree. It was really hot! 3 stars for Atmosphere. Again nothing really wrong, it was just super cramped in there. Personally I'd wait an hour and get squished again because... 5 STAR FOOD! Shrimp Salad with cranberries and walnuts. Caesar dressing. The greens were incredibly fresh. The mix ins as tasty as they sound and the shrimp was huge and fresh and delicious! Seafood Pastas - 4 of our party ordered these and I also stole a bite. These dishes were amazing. Seafood was extremely fresh, pasta was perfectly cooked and arrived to the table warm but not too hot. I'm going home with the intent to recreate one dish asap. Fried fish/Shrimp/Seafood - It was all great. You could tell they didn't buy it from a major warehouse. It was freshly battered and fried. We also got an app of Seafood Queso and chips, fried pickles and fried green tomatoes. Even the chips were freshly fried, unique and delicious. Every aspect of this meal felt specially homecooked for us. Bread Pudding - just get it. No matter what do not leave this place without teying it or taking to go. I live 2 states away and if I could I would order it through the mail for every holiday and just because. Incredible. Next time I am in Perdido Beach I'll be at the Fisherman's Corner. Maybe twice! One more thing. I was with crutches, broken ankle and knee. The waitress was not only a superstar waitress, quickly bringing out our dishes, keeping drinks filled and making sure we were having a great experience. She made sure to help me to my seat and she kindly placed my crutches in a safe space and then retrieved them when we were done. You can't pay for that kind of service. She was just a genuinely kind, hardworking, passionate person with a lot of talent!

Fisherman’s Corner is a delightful spot in Perdido Key that truly shines with some of its offerings! While our experience had a couple of minor hiccups, the undeniable highlights make it a place worth visiting, especially if you're a fan of shrimp and grits. Let's start with the star of the show: the Shrimp and Grits. Oh my goodness! The portion was incredibly generous, a true feast. But it wasn't just the quantity that impressed; the taste was simply divine. The creamy grits were perfectly textured, and the shrimp were succulent and plentiful. What truly elevated this dish to another level were the panko gouda balls. These little bites of cheesy goodness provided a unique and utterly delicious twist that I haven't encountered anywhere else. They added a delightful crunch and a rich, savory counterpoint to the sweetness of the shrimp and the smoothness of the grits. Seriously, order this – you won't regret it! Unfortunately, the Seafood Platter didn't quite live up to the same high standards. While it offered a decent variety of seafood, the vegetables accompanying it were a bit soggy, which detracted from the overall enjoyment. Additionally, the fish, while fresh, leaned towards being a little dry. It was an average dish, perfectly acceptable but not particularly memorable. Despite the somewhat lackluster seafood platter, the exceptional Shrimp and Grits, with its generous portion and unique, delicious flavor profile thanks to those incredible panko gouda balls, makes Fisherman’s Corner a place I would happily recommend. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant and beachy. Come for the shrimp and grits – you’ll be in for a treat!

Party of 9 (6 adults and 3 small kids) for dinner

Let’s start with the positives: the food was fantastic. Everything we tried was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. A must-try is Jim’s Spicy Oysters- even if you're not an oysters person, this was fantastic. We also ordered the Firecracker Shrimp and crab cakes appetizers—both were excellent.

For dinner, I had the shrimp and grits, and my husband went with several of the appetizers along with a bowl of gumbo. He really enjoyed the gumbo, and the shrimp and grits were very good. That said, my favorite bite of the night might have been the kids’ fish bites—so fresh and perfectly cooked. My other child ordered the Alfredo without the Creole seasoning and absolutely loved it. A couple of others in our group had the mahi and seemed pleased with their meals.

Now for the areas that really missed the mark:

Dessert: We tried the key lime pie with raspberry sauce, and it was a complete letdown. It wasn’t even cold and had an off-putting taste. Honestly, it shouldn’t be on the menu. We were tempted to try the “famous” bread pudding, but the restaurant was so warm that we weren’t in the mood for a hot dessert.

Atmosphere: The space is very casual, which worked well for us since we came straight from an eight-hour drive. Unfortunately, the dining room was extremely hot. We were lucky to be seated near a wall-mounted air conditioning unit, but the rest of the restaurant felt uncomfortable.

Service: Things started off strong—our server was friendly and attentive—but it didn’t last. Our meals came out at scattered times, and not just a few minutes apart. One person in our party didn’t receive their food until after everyone else had finished. One of our appetizers also didn’t arrive until the end of the meal. Once the food began arriving, our server disappeared. We couldn’t get drink refills, couldn’t ask about missing items, and eventually had to flag someone down just to get our checks.

Overall, the food was impressive, but the uncomfortable temperature and inconsistent service really took away from the experience. With a few adjustments, this could easily be a five-star spot, but as it stands, we left feeling disappointed despite how good...
