This use to be an awesome little Chinese restaurant when It got it's awards years ago. I new owner is RUDE and completely off putting. We normally order out since the change over, food is hit n miss. A few months back, I decided to bring my cousin in for a sit down experience. We were the only ones in the restaurant, the owner served us with paper and styrofoam bowls. It was completely embarrassing. I asked her why she wasn't using regular plates? Because I have dined in before. She literally said to me " because we don't have someone to wash the plates" I was like Really Lady? In my head thinking" She's so lazy, she would rather serve her customers on disposable table wear, than to wash a few plates?" Keeping in mind we are the only two in the restaurant. So tonight, I decided let me give this Lady one more chance to redeem her image. So I called in an order of peppered beef and won ton soup. While on the phone, I asked if the won soup was fresh. Because the last time I ordered out, they were mushy. She literally said "If you don't like the soup, don't order it" Well I reluctantly put the order in, because my daughter was already in the car on her way home from work. But I have to say this is absolutely the last time we will be ordering. I rather drive a few extra miles to another Chinese restaurant, that appreciates their customers. Than to give this woman another cent of my money. Diners beware! Customer since 2011 I hope she brings back regular dinnerware for dine in customers. Because after all its called...
Read moreHeartbroken! This was my favorite place to eat but the last time I ate there I got really sick and had gastrointestinal problems for weeks. It's been a couple of months, so I thought I would try them again. Sent my son there for food because I am sick today. They wanted to charge him $2.50 extra the soup that should have been included in the lunch. I was willing to pay a dollar extra for their to-go cup, but not $2.50. We've been really good customers over the years, usually paying in cash, and always leaving a tip. I'm so sad, but on principle will not order any more. I guess all of the good reviews must have created so much business that they have raised prices and/or changed business practices. I guess loyal customers don't mean much to them anymore, so we will have to go to China Kitchen on Tropicana Avenue. Closer to home, and comprable good food. Bye-bye Golden Flower. I have been with you since the late 90s, I believe. I was sick today and thought that your food would help me feel better. Now I feel worse and heartbroken. I hope you change your business practice before all your...
Read moreFirst time here, so many reviews raved about this place so we had to try it. I got Peking beef with the Combo add-on. Egg drop soup was orange, like it spent too long in a tanning bed. Taste was a little off so one bite and I moved to the egg roll, which was the one thing I was satisfied with. Crunchy, fresh ingredients, and came out hot. Peking beef was ok. Not something I would order again, though. My wife did the almond chicken combo. She got the Silver Paper Chicken instead of an egg roll and aside from burning her fingers on the foil, it wasn’t too bad. Almond chicken is the strangest I’ve ever seen. There’s no “gravy” and the sauce it did come with is black, like soy sauce dark. The chicken wasn’t breaded or fried, but just pieces of chicken with vegetables and they tossed some almonds on top. Super bland. We made sure to ask, and yes it was indeed almond chicken. No plates, glasses, or serving dishes. Everything is served in to go containers. Sadly, this place used to be THE place to go, but one things for sure, it’s one place we WON’T...
