I can’t say enough good things about Guac Shop in Bradenton, FL! This gem of a spot has quickly become my go-to for incredible food, unbeatable value, and customer service that makes you feel like family. Every visit is a delight, and their weekly specials are an absolute steal. $3 Taco Tuesday is a highlight of my week—those tacos are massive, packed with flavor and so affordable! And don’t get me started on $10 Bowl Wednesdays; the portions are generous, and the quality is top-notch. The food here is nothing short of spectacular. Their barbacoa is hands-down the best I’ve ever tasted—tender, juicy, and bursting with rich, authentic flavor. The guacamole is a total game-changer, perfectly creamy and fresh, and it pairs beautifully with their vibrant salsas. Speaking of salsas, the variety is fantastic, ranging from sweet to spicy, and each one is crafted with fresh ingredients that elevate every bite. Whether you’re a heat seeker or prefer something milder, there’s a salsa for you. What truly sets Quac Shop apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff is always smiling, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making your experience special. They go above and beyond to ensure you leave happy and very, very satisfied! Guac Shop is a must-visit for anyone in Bradenton looking for delicious, high-quality food at an incredible value, served with a side of heartwarming hospitality. I’m already looking forward to...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at Guac Time Mexican Grill in Bellerose, Queens was so disappointing that I felt compelled to warn others.
From the moment we walked in, the place felt off. The hygiene standards were shockingly poor—tables were dirty, the floor was sticky, and the utensils didn’t look properly cleaned. The open kitchen area didn’t inspire confidence either, with ingredients left uncovered and surfaces that clearly hadn’t been wiped down in a while.
When our food finally arrived—after an unacceptable wait of nearly 40 minutes—it was cold, stale, and completely lacking in freshness. The tortillas were dry, the meat tasted like it had been reheated multiple times, and the guacamole (which should be their specialty!) was brownish and clearly not made fresh.
We politely asked the staff about the delay and the condition of the food, but instead of addressing the issue, they were rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. One of the staff members even rolled their eyes and walked away mid-conversation.
It’s clear this place doesn’t prioritize customer service, food quality, or basic cleanliness. I left feeling frustrated and frankly a little concerned about the food safety standards. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place until they seriously improve...
Read moreHummus Bay has recently expanded to include a Mexican menu under the name Guac Shop, and now both restaurants are operating in the same space. I can't speak for the quality of the Guac Shop menu, but the quality and taste of the Hummus Bay menu has declined significantly. This is really sad - Hummus Bay was once one of the best fast-casual restaurants in the area, and the menu used to be extremely delicious, fresh, and well priced. Now, the Hummus Bay service counter is in the back, the chicken was super dry and reheated (I watched the waitress reheat it on the grill), the hummus texture was simultaneously lumpy, watery, and tasteless, the cucumber tomato salad tasted like it was on the verge of spoiling, the pickles and turnips were left in giant pieces and were not cut in a dice like they used to be, and the pita also seemed dry and stale. This is a total 180 from the quality and standards I was accustomed to at Hummus Bay. Sadly, I will no longer be a regular customer. I would suggest the owners retire the Hummus Bay menu and go all in on Guac Shop if the standards cannot...
