Update 8/2025: nothing special anymore. 2 star.
Update 1/2025: Crab leggs are no longer offered since new year. Very disappointed.
Update 12/2024: new floor is desperately needed please. Replace carpet with gray porlain tile for clean look. Recommend to add one special items for each nationality such as mexican (tacos), japanese (miso/udon soup, vietnamese (snail, pho), chinese (chicken feet dim sum), etc. Still love the place for crab leggs, crawfish (especially cajun!), claims, salmon! Thank you!
Update 8/2024: What happened to white clam? It s missing from the menu and replaced with black mussels? Come on now! Please put it back asap. I go here just for this item.
Update 7/2024: What happens to the Cajun item? It has become terrible! It’s salty, dry, and many garbage dumped in there. Manager would you please try to eat it and make some adjustments to this item? Might as well try all to see as if you are a customer and tell me your experience is great or not.
items getting worse and need improvements are: Seafood Cajun, sweet and sour soup, egg drop soup, sushi (it s an eye sore, add tuna, and make it attractive pls). Minus 1 star.
If you like to eat high standard food, ur customers feel the same.
Update 7/2023: 4.5 Stars - I have been a frequent since 2021. Great job for adding crab legs for dinner every day recently! I hope the following items can be added as well: Japanese Cuisine: Sashimi (Tunas and salmon), Miso Soup, seaweed, oysters. A 5 stars if some of these can be added. Thanks for your hard-work at this place. Management and team are doing a wonderful job so far. Keep up the good work and listen to customers are key to success. At the end of the day it's all about the people you serve. A return on investment is tremendous! Kudos to the team!
Update 9/2021: 4 Stars: I went back again to see if things improve. They did! Nice job! Better food options including Cajun seafood yummy.
This is a great Chinese restaurant in recent memory so I hope management would add some more special culture items such as Dim Sum, snail. How about weekend special seafood items such as Oysters, Crab Legs for additional fees I don't mind. I hope this place keeps getting better and better with more quality food. I like it! I'll give 5 stars when I see the above items added to the menu. A job well done! Love it.
Up to 2/2021: 2 Stars: Ok but not great. Make it better by adding dim sum items such as chicken feet, beef tripe, shrimp dumplings, stuffed eggplant, etc... and miso and udon soups. Make better sushi sashimi. I stopped go here for...
Read moreSo, first let me say everyone here is nice. The water is filled promptly.
However, I did get food poisoning. That puts a damper on the experience. (When I first arrived, feeling well, I got a small plate with mussels and mixed veggies. Then I got a normal sized hibachi plate with rice, veggies, crab, and steak. We were still here an hour past my first plate because my youngest eats slowly, and I suddenly felt nauseated… went to the restroom and vomited up a lot. Came back and let them know they might want to pull them up. They were kind and said they’d tell the manager, but I had to go back and vomit again, and on the way back, I saw they appeared to still be out.
To be fair, I am somewhat more susceptible to food poisoning because I have cancer, but that helps it hit faster- it doesn’t mean no one else will get it. I expect others did. I have not had food poisoning anywhere else since having cancer.
My husband and son did not have the mussels and did not get sick.
I felt a bit bad because the confusion of the food poisoning resulted in me not tipping- husband went out to car while I went back again to the restroom, and took my wallet I was going to leave the cash tip with and I didn’t know he didn’t leave it until later.
Still- ends up an expensive meal. $49 for 2 adults and a kindergartner. I didn’t even get to keep my meal - vomited it all up and no refund for that (I didn’t ask because I was most concerned in making sure they got it up so no one else would get sick not about the cost but they didn’t offer either) so really $49 for one adult and one kindergartner who can’t eat that much.
+And then I had to go to the urgent care and those bills because you just have to when you get sick with cancer. Confirmed food poisoning as source.
But, I do feel guilty because the server probably doesn’t get any of that money, and it’s not likely their fault tainted food was served. I would have tipped if the whole mess hadn’t confused the situation on whether a tip...
Read moreBuffets are a hard thing to review. You can't really expect world class food, but you should expect good food. How good, though, is good enough? I don't have the mental prowess to ponder such deep existential questions.
As a recovering glutton, I have a profound love/hate relationship with buffets. The chance to eat until I hurt some reason still appeals to me. I wanted to eat at a good buffet, and opportunity arose. One day, I was in Norcross and knew of a mission that I had to undertake.
Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet lives up to its name. The buffet is absolutely massive and certainly supreme. Additionally, it does indeed have a hibachi grill. I arrived at 1:00 PM during a weekday for lunch, and I was mildly worried that the place would be dead and the food disgusting by that point. To my surprise, the restaurant was still absolutely packed.
The food selection is incredible, with many traditional Chinese buffet favorites, and many options that aren't widely available. In addition to your standard stir fried chicken, they offer more uncommon fare such as roast beef, stuffed clams, and fried oysters. I absolutely love fried oysters and don't think I've seen them at any other Chinese buffet. Dining at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet doesn't take you to flavor town, but the food was certainly good.
My drink never sat empty for too long, so I didn't have any issues with the service.
I was absolutely shocked when I got my bill and saw that it was only $9.63. Did they forget to charge me for a drink?
At $9.63 for a weekday lunch buffet, with drink included, a meal at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet is an absolute steal. Even if $9.63 is supposed to be the price without a drink, the value is downright unbeatable. If you're in the area, stop by this restaurant for a...
