Five stars for this restaurant. My son loved it and loved our server's nails, not that manicured nails makes a good restaurant but I digress. The meal began with queso dip and guacamole dip, so good. Then on to lunch where my son got the French toast, wife got the taco salad (really she gets what ever she wants). She said there was so much chicken she had to give her loving husband and extraordinary father of her only son, some of her extra chicken. Now on to my meal where I ordered the fajitas with the combination of stake and shrimp. The meat was tender, succulent and full of flavor. Literally I had to be rolled out of the restaurant. Breakfast, lunch or dinner this place has the market for Mexican cuisine in 30A.

Visited for dinner. There were 7 of us in our party. The restaurant is spacious inside with a good atmosphere. We all shared 3 appetizers: chips with a flight of sauces, chips and guacamole, and seafood empenadas. The appetizers were very good. We all ordered various entrees. I had the shrimp burrito. Overall, the entree choices are unique with Latin spices and flair added to what a lot of times would be just basic Mexican food. While the visit was good, the extra kick of spices in what I had, I thought was a little too much, and I felt it later on. The prices were okay, but a little on the high side. The restaurant in the end was okay. However, not one that I would go back to.

Went specifically because of the delicious looking photo of the nachos-the picture below is what I got. Basically chips with some cheese and a tablespoon of black bean purée. The seasoning on the fajitas was so bad it literally made my aunt sick. To top that off, apparently they have a problem with unattended minors here, so the staff is borderline hostile with teenagers in the restaurant (no one in our party but several around us) and completely unfriendly to customers. It is probably hard to run a business in this area with all the tourists and kids in the area but they are what is keeping your doors open too-employees need to work on customer service.

I’m not one to leave reviews, but I was so unhappy with our visit today that I decided to take time to write one.

We arrived and were seated fairly quickly, since the menu has no photos I resorted to this google page for the restaurant to see examples. After showing the waitress a few photos she told me they were from an older menu and those options were no longer available.

The waitress brought us chips but there was no salsa or dipping sauces. We proceeded to ask for some and that’s when we were told they are extra cost $3 per salsa cup. No problem let’s get some. When I dipped the chip and took a bite it tasted just like Ragu tomato sauce. I have gone to so many Mexican restaurants, we live in Texas so they are big on salsa. This was straight up tomato sauce. Without hesitation we just sent it back, it was not something we could eat.

Well I was still hopeful for some redemption with the food. The queso was good (it’s not yellow like the usual one but it was a good white queso) the green salsa “salsa verde” was very sweet and usually those are supposed to taste spicy.

Moving on to the menu, I ordered enchiladas and FYI they come with no sides. Most of the dishes you purchased the rice and beans (a la Carte)....so I paid extra for that. The enchiladas alone cost $14 without the sides and when I saw the portion I was in disbelief, it was much much smaller than my boys KIDS MEAL 😱 seriously it was comical, I wish I had taken a photo. The bottom was burnt.

My husband ordered tacos which cost $5 each and they are also small with no sides.

My uncle ordered chicken enchiladas and the chicken was dark meat that looked like it had sat for days.

We had more family with us, our kids had the cheese quesadilla with rice and beans and it was ok.

Some cousins ordered the burrito bowl and it was the best meal on the table.

Bottom line, if you have options just go elsewhere. I was so frustrated, how much can you complain you know? It just overall was terrible. Expensive because of location and I didn’t like the service. The waitress was annoyed that we complained and didn’t give AF about anything we said. She took the salsa back so we didn’t pay (or eat it) and took back my uncles plate (he didn’t eat it) so we didn’t pay for it either but no apologies or F’s given for the experience, food or...

The top shelf margarita STATES on their menu, that YOUR CHOICE OF PREMIUM tequila with blah blah blah. If you look at the tequila menu, it shows Don Julio 1942. So, I ordered a pitcher of margarita with Don Julio 1942 for the stated price of 42$. Well, the bartender informed me that if I used 1942 tequila, then that would be 150$. So, I of course went with Don Julio Blanco. (menu needs to be changed to indicate this if you have an ultra premium tequila like D.J.1942) As a customer this is very confusing. Then when we went to order food, I tried to order the "gulf snapper crudo" for market price. To which I was told we are out. So then i asked what the "pescadero del dia" is...( fish of the day ). And was told that I got red snapper and rice and beans for 26$. How do you have snapper for one and not the other?... Ultimately, this restuarant is very confusing with their menu. As well as the servers are not aware of what's on the menu.

Side note: when I initially ordered the Don Julio 1942 and was basically denied the stated price, the bartenders were making fun of me for even trying to order the 1942 in a margarita. Extremely unprofessional of a restaurant with chef inspired prices and applebees tastes.

But please, go here and see the menu for yourselves and taste the food. Value and price is in the eye(& mouth) of...

This evening September 28, 2020 I visited your restaurant to learn that you no longer serve chips and salsa unless is paid for, we both ordered fajitas which were delicious but it only came with only 3 tiny tortillas, here comes my point , we don’t want anything for free serve the chips and salsa and instead of 3 tortillas serve 5 and incorporated into your pricing , my friend I have never eaten at a Mexican restaurant that they don’t serve chips and salsa like the old saying says if it ain’t broke don’t fix it don’t make drastic changes that will hurt your business, on these two issues I have to give you 2 stars I’m very disappointed, now on the other hand your food is amazing I give you 5 starts tonight a young Jamaican young lady by the name of Terry I’ll give herb10 stars, she was professional, pleasant and very attentive, cleanliness of your place I’ll give you 4 stars needs improvement, hope you don’t get offended but if things continue to change in the wrong direction I’ll find another Mexican restaurant to go to.

Sincerely A...
