Okeechobee steakhouse: 2 stars (2/5 stars) Reservation for 1 on June 28(Friday) 2024. Food - 1/5 Service - 3/5 Armosphere - 4/5 Food: 1 out of 5 I came in specifically for the steak. I asked my server if they had a wagyu which is on the google menu. He said no. Ordered a prime cut Bone-In Ribeye steak - medium rare which cost me $100+. It was very under seasoned, it was dry. The cook was very uneven, I would say it was medium well to well done in some parts. I was very disappointed because the previous week I dined in at longhorn and I paid for $50 ribeye that was very well seasoned and was cooked as I ordered which is medium rare every time. I was expecting something better in Okeechobee steakhouse. Back to okeechobee steakhouse, I tried it with the little bit of side sauce they had which you can see on the picture attached in my review, it didn’t make it any better. The calamari was good but it couldnt make up to how the steak did so 1/5 star for the food. Note: When I dined in, a couple in a table near me complained and talked to the manager for minutes, on I believe the same problem. The steak was underseasoned and it was not served in the temperature/doneness they order. (The manager said about “apologizing to them for the off night”) Service: 3 out of 5 Nothing really to say here. 3 out of 5 for the service. Atmosphere: 4 out of 5 The atmosphere was good, a little bit loud but nothing you can do about that. The area was a bit cramped up than I expected. Tldr: Concern: Steak (Bone-In ribeye steak) -Ordered medium rare. They overcooked it, dry and underseasoned very bland at some parts. Additional: manager apologized to the couple at the table near me for the off night(?) to be quite frank I don’t think I’m going to risk another almost 200 dollar bill food for one person for an off night. While the manager was talking to the couple too, the servers were looking at them. I don’t know, I feel like when someone complains don’t look at them let the person handling it do her job and go back to doing yours instead of looking at them or trying to listen or figure out whats happening, go do your job and look around to see if someone needs help or service. It would be very uncomfortable to complain having the other servers are looking at you. Makes other people less likely to say something and in return you’ll have no room for improvement or growth. (A bit harsh review and details but I would say all that could have been avoided if the steaks, mine and the old couple near me was even average. It was very well below that.) I tipped well for those who are wondering(33%), my bill was $165 not including the 33% tip. so this is just an honest review. Even with the kind of food I was served I am still thankful just because I appreciate people who handle my food. Would I go back? No, even if they invited me for a free dinner or a discounted dinner. Just because I gave a very honest review. I’ll probably go back next year(MAYBE), see if the food taste the same.

Title: "A Mixed Bag at the Steakhouse" Rating: ★★★ (3/5) I recently dined at this establishment with a large group (11 of us), and while there were positives, there were also several points that left room for improvement. The primary highlight was our server, who handled our large party admirably. She was professional, courteous, and handled the pressure very well, providing us with excellent service throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food did not meet the same standard. Given the high-end pricing, I expected the quality and preparation of the dishes to match. Comparing to other steak places like Meating Street in Port Saint Lucie and Meat Market in Palm Beach, this place fell short. I ordered a Filet Mignon, expecting it to be prepared medium-rare, but it arrived with one side medium and the other well-done and burnt. This uneven cooking was perplexing and certainly didn't live up to my expectations. The steak lacked flavor and was served cold, which was disappointing. I found myself only able to eat half, even though I was quite hungry. The side dish, a baked potato, was unfortunately undercooked, making it difficult to enjoy. It seemed there was a lack of attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of the food. Despite the shortcomings in the food department, the overall ambiance and our server's excellent service made the night enjoyable. However, considering the price point and reputation, the culinary experience was underwhelming. This restaurant is perhaps suitable for those prioritizing a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service over top-notch food quality. But for those like my wife and me, who expect the food to match the price and reputation, you might want to reconsider. The establishment feels somewhat overrated, and we probably won't be revisiting anytime soon.

Simply amazing food and service all around!! In Florida's oldest chop house, you pull up to be greeted by complimentary valet service. Walk in the door and the hostess was welcoming. While it was busy, we were seated immediately. Our server was at the table introducing himself within a minute and taking don't orders. He then took appetizer orders and brought out their selection of different steak cuts and explained all of them to us and how they prepared each. A minute later the appetizers were out and we were eating. Escargot were some of the best I've had followed by the salads. Then the amazing steak came out. The porterhouse was perfect in every way. I cut the filet side with my fork and the flavor was incredible! My colleagues filet with the shrimp and sauce as well as the surf and turf they said were equally as good as what I described mine to be. Then came the desserts. I was convinced that unless I saw something that really grabbed my eye that I was not having any. They say the sample tray down and started by saying everything was hand made from scratch in their kitchen daily. I immediately saw 3 that I had to have - the key lime pie, chocolate mousse and the fresh homemade peanut butter pie! I couldn't decide but when my colleagues each ordered the chocolate mousse and the server said that his favorite there were the key lime pie but absolute go to was the peanut butter pie, I went for the favorite. He was not wrong. It was the best peanut butter pie I've ever tasted world wide! Fantastic service, the best chop house I've ever been in (and I've been in several good ones across the US) and I will be coming back.

I recently had an unforgettable dining experience at Okochobee steakhouse where the wait staff truly elevated the evening. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The hostess escorted me to my table with a friendly demeanor, setting the tone for what was to come. Meet our waiter, John Mitchell. He was exceptional. He had an in-depth knowledge of the menu, offering insightful recommendations that perfectly suited our preferences. His attentiveness was impeccable; he anticipated every need before I even had to ask, refilling my water glass and checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive. The highlight of the evening was when John took the time to explain the origins of the various cuts of steak on the menu, sharing interesting details about their sourcing and preparation. His passion for the food was evident and infectious. John ensured that everything was to our satisfaction. Throughout the meal, the entire wait staff worked seamlessly together, creating a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. Their coordination and communication were impressive, contributing to an atmosphere of refined efficiency and warmth. By the end of the evening, I felt more like a valued guest than just a customer. The phenomenal service provided by John and the rest of the staff made this steakhouse visit truly memorable. It's rare to encounter such a dedicated and professional team, and it certainly made for an exceptional dining experience that I won't soon forget.

Birthday dinner with my son, our first time dining at OSH. Greeted with a smile and prompt attendance guiding us to our reservation. Wendy was our server and she really brought home the "special-ness" that comes with dining at a landmark steakhouse. The vibes in for our experience were really good, which I attribute to the attentiveness of our server. We were given time to process what we wanted and we were never made to feel rushed, which made for a really fun outing. We had the lobster bites for an app, which I recommend. Great crust, sweet lobster. My son had the filet and I had sea bass. I bribed my son with birthday presents (judge me) and got a taste of his filet. The dry aged beef was such an easy, juicy chew; when you're the oldest in the state, beef should not be a problem. Sea bass had a nice sear on a bed of spinach and rice/risotto. Dessert was a Milky Way chocolate cake and the most remarkable chocolate creme brulee; no, I didn't stutter. The whole night was a win. Wendy was informative with what cuts of beef would fit our preference, she was a great resource on the wine list as well. The whole thing about dining out is that you're kind of connected to your server. Wendy made it feel very much like a meal at home, if you have really amazing steaks, fantastic seafood, delicious side dishes and in house desserts at home. I'm sorry for taking so long to get here, OSH, I promise it won't be as long the next time.
