Firehouse Subs West Palm Beach — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

I did not have the best experience today at Firehouse Subs. Disappointing, because I know the chain is great and so is the food, so unfortunately it was just this particular location. I was the second person in line when I walked in at 11:59AM and there were quite a few people waiting for their food. Ordered my food, I had gotten a large cheesesteak combo, with a side salad and fountain drink. I also added mushrooms to my sandwich which was an additional charge. It came to about $22 for lunch...I walked over to the fountain drink machine, to be met with a note that said Coke Zero and Diet Coke were out. Okay, I chose a Sprite Zero. Sprite Zero was carbonated water. Went for the Fanta Orange Zero, was orange and carbonated but had no flavor? So I resorted to just water. So I paid for free water. If I would have known, I probably would not have gotten the combo. Next, I waited 40 minutes to get my sub. And so did 3 other people. The person in front of me as well as a gentleman who was already waiting when I had walked in. He must have been there for 50 minutes at least by that point. Finally I got my sub and was able to run out by 12:47pm. The girl called my name and placed it on the table top counter directly in front of me. She didn't even look me in the eye or tell me she was apologetic for the wait. I didn't hear that from the other 5 or 6 team members that were also behind the counter either. When I rushed to get back to work, I opened the box while sitting at my desk (now having to sit at my desk to eat because I was so late back) and I scanned the sandwich. Not a single mushroom was in the sandwich. So $22 later, I did not get my combo drink, I got time cut additionally from work that I currently cannot afford to cut and I also got overcharged for toppings I did not receive. Took my daughter-in-law there for the 1st time Wednesday and Ordered our subs It was around 2:05 in the afternoon it was Almost 3 o'clock by the time we got our food Yes there were 2 people in front of us We sat down and visited The person behind the counter said they were new also no ice for the drinks the machine was broken I know this can happen I found out from the lady in front of us that there was a very large order and she had already been there 15 minutes No explanation from the staff about them having a bunch of sandwiches before us no apology Just a lot of workers trying not to look at any of us out there because they were Maybe embarrassed by the wait time. Dear manager Please inform the customer that it's going to be a wait for their food When the employees is taking our order We can then make a decision on stay or go Come back later for our food Any information would have been the Appropriate Thing to do Do not ignore the problem face it head on Managing people and customers in food service is hard If you want your workers to respect you then step up when it's hard and they will back you And give you a 100% send PS the the food...

Worst experience I ever had a firehouse subs in the almost 20 years of eating there waiting 45 minutes for my sub and then finally received it with about 10 minutes left in my break. Started eating it and almost choked cause the meat was like rubber it was awful I almost choked. Took it back in the only explanation I got was that's how the new York steamer comes I laughed because it's the same sub I've eaten for the past 20 years. Never have I been so disappointed in one of my favorite places to go and I hate to say it until this store becomes more efficient and care about what they are giving people cause almost 15 dollars for a sub to me was always worth it. But now I have to eat somewhere else cause the slowness along with the poor quality has finally taken its toll. I also got really sick after eating the 3 bites that I could hardly swallow. Please fix this store I hate the fact that I can't eat here anymore especially because I have family that are firefighters and I also myself went through firefighter training while serving...
