Me and my partner occassionally go to OneZo for taro milk slush with boba and cheese foam and lately I've been ordering our taro milk slush with DOUBLE BOBA and DOUBLE CHEESE FOAM. We would always order 3-4 bobas atleast. When I began ordering taro milk slush with double boba and cheese foam, they would give us the left over slush in a separate cup since there is not enough room in the cup - even when we order through uber eats, this is how they do it. Last week, I went to order these (4 taro milk slush, all DOUBLE CHEESE FOAM, DOUBLE BOBA on first 2 milk slush and just single boba on the other 2milk slush) in person and I dunno if the cashier is new because it's the first time I've seen her but she said "we cannot guarantee giving you the left overs because WE THROW THEM AWAY" and i said hmm why can't you give the left overs when I paid for it? (It's not like I'm asking it for free) i even said the other girl knows that and that's how they always do it but she kept insisting that it's not guaranteed. I saw her make the milk slush and the asian guy pouring the cheese foam and when they gave me my order, I asked if it was my order because I ordered DOUBLE CHEESE FOAM on all of them and this doesn't look like double, it is usually until here (me pointing on the cup) and the cashier said "OH THAT IS TRIPLE NOT DOUBLE" and i was shocked and getting upset from this point. The guy said you want me to add more or give it to you on the side? I said I just want to get my money's worth because these drinks are not cheap and $1 for a little topping alone is already a lot (compared to other boba shop). My total was $52 for 4 drinks plus 10% tip. For this price, I only ask to get what I'm paying for. Although they were able to make it right by redoing my drinks and adding a little more cheese foam and a small cup of leftover slush. The asian guy was nice and kind and so is the other girl that does my order. The asian girl...
Read moreI am so happy that OneZo opened it's first Tampa location in the Shoppes at Causeway. It's in the same plaza as Kiwami Sushi and Ramen which is perfect. There's also plenty of parking as well.
It's unique in that you can actually watch them make the boba. There's a separate room that houses all the boba making equipment, and they use it to make boba throughout the day. You can find a video of how they make it on their FB page. They have quite a selection of boba flavors that rotate each day. I have only had the brown sugar and sesame flavors. Both are fantastic! They are soft, fresh, chewy, and full of flavor. I have been surprised by the taste of it. The sesame flavor even had sesame seeds in the boba. The brown sugar one actually tastes natural. I don't even know how to explain it. I'm no expert, but I definitely could tell the difference in the texture and taste immediately. I didn't waste a single one of these gems at the bottom of the cup. I've been wanting to try the pink cactus boba, but they don't have it yet. I will once I see it available.
I've visited 3 times already. I wanted to try grapefruit green tea today, but they are closed on Mondays. Keep that in mind if you're making a special trip. There isn't a whole lot of seating inside. Just the couch, child ottomans shaped like animals, and some bar seating against the wall. The interior is clean and bright, with minimalist décor. The staff have all been great, and offer suggestions in pairing your drink with the boba. I also love that they offer 2 sizes for most of their drinks. Most places only give you one size and it's a large one.
The citrus spring fruit tea and strawberry milkshake are unique and refreshing. The matcha milk tea is very good. Everything I've had so far has been great! I can't wait to try more flavors. I already have a list ready for...
Read moreOne Zo offers the best boba flavor and texture at this particular location. A major plus for me is that they are dog-friendly, which I appreciate due to my profession; I love seeing local businesses that welcome dogs since they enjoy exploring the world too.
We recently moved to the area and were pleasantly surprised to discover a One Zo nearby so we decided to try them. Having lived in and visited various parts of Asia, we know what good boba should taste like. Since finding this place, we’ve visited about once a week (or more) and tried a different drink each time. So far they have all been delicious!
The shop is tucked away in a plaza behind a RaceTrac, giving it a hidden gem vibe that you wouldn’t notice just driving past on Causeway. We've visited other One Zo locations before. This particular one focuses solely on handcrafting excellent boba and doesn't offer much in terms of food items. I see this as an advantage compared to other shops that try to do too much. You can tell they are laser-focused on the quality of their boba and drinks.
They offer unique flavors that change weekly, many of which I wouldn’t have thought possible. Yet, this One Zo location has managed to create all these flavors and make them taste amazing. The drinks are always fresh and flavorful, with a strong tea taste—not watered down like at other shops. We can truly taste the quality, freshness, and effort they put into their drinks and boba. The menu features a good variety, and the staff is friendly, and willing to make boba pairing suggestions.
The shop itself is clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. If you love boba and are open to trying new flavors, you should...
