I wish I could give this 5 stars like the Oxon Hill location but I can't. I ordered the same thing (Inca Bowl with Chicken minus the sour cream and guacamole). I ordered online for curbside so all I would have to do is get there, grab my food and go. I got an email saying my order was received and that it would be ready by 2:40pm...(I didn't leave the house until 2:40pm). I arrived and parked in a curbside spot and called the number. The 1st time there was no answer. I waited a few minutes and called again. The girl on the phone got my order number and spot number and said she'd be right out. I wait 5 minutes and call back. The same girl answers, apologizes and said it's coming right out. I wait 5 more minutes and at this point I'm irritated so I get out and go inside. Inside I spoke to a woman at the front booth and it became clear to me that my order wasn't ready because they didn't even start it! Highly frustrated at this point because that was the purpose of ordering ahead I had to make sure the order would be made to my liking as I put online. The manager came out as I'm sure I looked very annoyed and offered his apologies. He said that the kitchen probably got backed up and offered my a free dessert. I chose a dessert and he said he would bring my order out to me when ready. I get back in the car and maybe 3 minutes later he comes out with my order and apologizes again. By now, I just want to get home. I get home and my order isn't even fully correct. I asked for fried rice and got white rice, there was also no cilantro ranch dressing on it (and I actually asked that they add more to it because I like the taste). I was very disappointed that even through all of that it wasn't right. This is why I give them 3 stars and likely won't return to that...
Read moreNote: Support local restaurants! Don't fall for the DoorDash link jacking, go to the real Sardi's website and order from them directly!
I love Sardi's! Everything I've tried has been amazing. The standard thing, of course, is chicken, which is unarguably good (I think it's marinated in magic), but my personal favorite indulgence of late is the lomo saltado. I like to stir the gravy into the rice and with those guant Peruvian corn kernels the flavor and texture combination is my happy place.
Favorite sides: Green beans - Who knew green beans could be so good?
Mixed vegetables - Looks like the mixed veggies you find in the freezer section, but tastes 1,000x better
Brussels sprouts & carrots - Too much fried goodness to be healthy. It's a treat!
Black beans and white rice - Sounds simple but tastes unbelievable
Peruvian corn - if you're a boring white lady like me, you might think this was going to be regular corn seasoned in some Peruvian fashion. Oh no. These are corn kernels the size of your thumb, leading to a satisfying "pop" when you eat them.
Fried yucca - if you get extra you can pop the leftovers in the toaster oven and it's almost as...
Read moreMy partner and I were visiting DC, and our hotel is in Baltimore. We were looking for restaurants in the area, but most were fast food and poorly rated. This one in particular stood out, but I was hesitant because I'm a non-adventurous American food-eater. We decided to try it, and I was not disappointed! As soon as we walked in ... it was clear this is not your typical restaurant. It's set up like a fast food place, where you can order out or dine in. Also, there must have been 100 chickens on different rotisseries with hot coals under them. Our food came out fairly quickly, within 20 minutes, and it was probably the best chicken I have ever had in my life. It also came with three separate sauces for dipping... all of them were fairly interesting. Also, the value for your money is just great... I wasn't able to finish all of the food - but there definitely wasn't any chicken left over! I'd come here again for sure, and I wish there was one in VT where I live.
** Also, as another reviewer commented, the music IS loud ... very loud. It's just part of the atmosphere - if you don't like it,...
