My wife and I are regular customers at Sergios Restaurant located in Kendall. We religiously visit the location to have a coffee break late in the afternoon. Today as always I approached the window/cafeteria to order two cortaditos. A lady who later identified herself as the "manager " took my order for two regular cortaditos and told me to pay $5,75 . I asked the lady..since when two cortaditos are that much? She stated...that is wha the system said. Another employee who was preparing the order told her in a very nice way, the two cortaditos are $3,35. I tendered a $20.00 bill and the lady give me my exchange in a very disingenuous/ arrogant fashion and did not said anything.
I waited for my two cortaditos, and decided to ask the lady if she was a manager. She stated yes I am the store manager. I, in a very humble way asked the lady, can I make a suggestion? If you notice, the sun 🌞 is always to bright at this hour. Can you please ask the store owners to consider putting a canvas to protect your employees from having the sun on their faces ? The lady in a very rude, arrogant and sarcastic fashion responded: The owner doesn't like canvas on the front of his store. I responded in a very pleasant manner, you may want to ask the owner to come and expend a few minutes here to experience first hand how the sunshine affects the employees. The lady responded in a very nasty fashion...the owner visit the store every morning and he is fine with the store. Finally I replied saying..well he should try visiting it at the late afternoon hours. By the way, please make sure to monitor the real cost of the cortaditos moving forward. No respond whatsoever from the manager. Overall, I sincerely found the managers approach extremely unprofessional, but more importantly, completely clueless about the most important principles on the hospitality industry.....to be polite, to be respectful towards customers relationships. Please consider this a constructive criticism.
Best regards...
Read moreI recently visited Sergio's restaurant at 8807 SW 107th Ave, Miami, FL 33176, and I was extremely disappointed with the service. Our waitress was argumentative and unresponsive to our requests. We had to wait for over 45 minutes to receive our food, and when it finally arrived, some of the orders were incorrect. To make matters worse, we had to repeatedly ask for utensils and water, and when we requested that one item be removed from our order, the waitress still brought it out. Overall, the poor service made for an unpleasant dining experience, and I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my recent visit
Mar 2024 update: Our dining experience at Sergio’s was underwhelming, to say the least. The initial interaction set a disheartening tone for the evening; our party of seven seemed to cause a stir of disbelief among the staff, which was both surprising and unwelcoming. The service continued to disappoint as we found ourselves self-serving water from bottles left unceremoniously on the table. The absence of a personal touch was stark and did not go unnoticed. The wait to order stretched on, leaving us to watch other patrons receive attention while we were seemingly forgotten. And when our food finally arrived, it was riddled with errors. Half of our order was blatantly incorrect, a frustrating blunder that tainted our meal. While the restaurant’s ambiance is lively and the menu boasts a variety of Cuban flavors, the service flaws are too glaring to overlook. Other reviews have mentioned robotic servers and a friendly atmosphere, but our visit lacked these redeeming qualities. In summary, Sergio’s could be a delightful spot, but the service we experienced was a far cry from the standard one would expect. It’s a place in need of serious improvements in customer service and accuracy in...
Read moreJust saw someone under the user L S post one of the most fabricated and disrespectful reviews about one of the sweetest workers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. First of you spelled her name wrong, ide hope that someone with such a strong opinion on someone enough to make a public comment on it would at least have the decency of knowing their name, it's spelled Tsuny, but clearly you wouldn't know that because i am 100% sure that a person I've known for her entire working period at Sergios would do that. Your comment has many faults which i would be glad to point out but unlike some people i have better things to do with my life than spend hours (wrongly) accusing someone online! Respectfully i would suggest for you to check yourself because you clearly don't have any shame commenting your 5 long and painful to read comments but not time to go to the restaurant as someone with such complaint would usually do for you to properly file a complaint and see what really happened but i don't blame you ide be scared to look at someone I just bashed online in the face too knowing in was lying. Tsuny is one of the best restaurant workers I've ever met, I'm always there and she never fails to put on a smile for everyone despite people like you who are udderly disrespectful for no reason, her coffee is unmatched and Shes always respectful, Shes relatable and so funny. I don't see how someone who's managed to stay at this job for over 6 years would "have 0 customer service skills" as you so proudly stated. I've eaten here million of times with friends and family and either you have the wrong person or your...
