This Taco Korean fusion spot is EVERYTHING!! I do like corn tortilla tacos, but I LOVE a taco when flour tortillas are grilled up, & used!! This spot GOT THAT!! Oh…and there was a surprise owner in the spot too!! . Where I am: @tacochinoz with @clintonportis . Location Reviewed: 14260 G Centerville Square, Centerville VA . Items Reviewed: (All tacos are on flour tortillas) STAMP!! Their Chinoz Loaded Fries ($14.99 with spicy pork belly, garlic aioli, kimchi slaw, mozzarella cheese, red & green peppers, scallions, fried garlic, & sweet corn). Fries stayed crisp, the pork had a kick!! STAMP!! Their Loaded Nachos ($14 with corn tortillas, nacho cheese sauce, mozzarella, cheddar, pico de gallo, sour cream, & pickled jalapeños). Juicy Birria meat, crisp nachos, tasty!! LIKE THAT!! Their Birria Bowl ($13.49 with beef Birria, Guac, sour cream, pico de gallo, rice, & salsa Roja). A nice consistency, juicy Birria, & fluffy rice!! STAMP!! Their Beef Bulgogi Taco ($5.50 with shaved ribeye, mozzarella, kimchi slaw, scallion, & spicy aioli). Flavorful, cheesy, & meaty!! STAMP!! Their Lobster Taco ($10.50 with lobster tail meat, a cheddar/mozzarella blend, wasabi slaw, & yum sauce). Buttery meaty lobster, a mildly spicy slaw…YUM!! STAMP!! Their Carne Asada Taco ($6 with pico de gallo, cheddar/mozzarella blend, & jalapeno crema). Tender asada, well seasoned, tasty!! STAMP!! Their Birria Chicken Taco ($4 with onions, cheese, cilantro, & consummé). Plentiful, cheesy, & blends well with that flour tortilla!! STAMP!! Their Spicy Pork Belly Taco ($4.75 with kimchi slaw, garlic aioli, & scallions). Spicy hot, salted pork, GET THIS!! STAMP!! Their Soju Slush!! ($5-Happy Hour, Soju is a Korean vodka with strawberry, & mango slush). Sweet, & strong!! . Parking: Decent. . Recommendations: Get ANY TACO, especially the lobster!! . Accessibility: Wheelchair & differently abled person’s accessible. . Delightful hidden gem. You'd never expect this combination of foods to work and yet it does, with quite a bit of panache. Stopped here during a work trip with my family who had tagged along, and we had a great time. To start, my wife had a margarita and I had apple soju, which set us in the right direction. Avocado fries were our appetizer, and they were crispy with a lovely dipping sauce and what I think was tajin, but the dish overall reminded us of tempura. Our meal came shortly after, and the mushroom Taco was absolutely incredible, salty and briny mixed with that earthy taste of a shiitake. I also had the chicken birria ramen, which was a huge bowl, steaming with egg, shredded chicken, corn, green onions, and ramen in a consumme broth. My wife had a Korean BBQ taco and chicken birria taco, and raved about the taste. My son had cheese fries and also a Korean chicken taco. The service was exceptional with the young staff. They checked on us multiple times and we had some great conversations. Can't say enough great things about this place, and if I ever stay nearby again, I will certainly drop in. Bonus points for later hours on a Sunday. I really hope they succeed and continue feeding adventurous travelers and locals alike!

Ok! So let's talk about this place. Me and the fiancee were originally so hyped about this place. I love ramen and she loves tacos. Let's start with the tacos. The tacos were good. They had a nice crispy taste to them, I got a fish taco and a shrimp taco and the meat inside of them was cooked to perfection. Next, the ramen. I was highly disappointed. I just got the chicken ramen and there was nothing special at all about the dish. The chicken had no flavor in the meat and the noodles were stringy. If the noodles are going to be flavorless at least go down on the price of them so it will make more sense. $16 ramen noodles when I can just make my own ramen noodles at home and still be better tasting than what I ate. Lastly, the loaded fries. These fries were so over priced. They were so gross I literally had three bites of the fries and the two bites of the noodles and told them to take it back. Speaking of back. That's what we won't be. Back here. Should just call the place "TACOS". Just stick to what you're good at, tacos. My fiancee said Taco Rock has better tacos.

5 stars: would go back for specific things and to try new items

SOFT OPENING REVIEW Interior: The interior of this spot is super cute. A mix of Latino/Korean decor. I think they're aiming for a pocha style vibe/late night bar spot.

Service: you can either sit down and have full service, or order at a kiosk to do take out. Service was nice and food came out fast!

FOOD: ~Note: their tacos come with toasted exteriors, so it's more like mini quesadillas/semi-hard taco. Tortillas are not soft.

~Carne Asada Taco (5/5): Our favorite one. The steak was so soft and flavored well, and the additional toppings made the flavors really balanced

~Spicy Pork Belly Taco (4.5/5): liked the flavor of the marinade for the pork belly, but for some, it may be a little too sweet. I like the other toppings that brought down the sweetness a little, but would need to get it all in one bite.

~Birria (3.8/5): The meat was so tender and juicy, but the flavor of the meat and consume wasn't as strong as I'd prefer for birria.

~Sweet Soy Sliced Ribeye Taco (4/5): again, this marinade was very very sweet, but if you got some of the pickled toppings in a bit, it helped. Meat was very tender.

~Crispy fish taco (2/5): I disliked the batter on this. It was soggy and the texture was stale/chewy. Like a bad tempura batter.

~Nacho fries (4/5): solid! The guac and pico were good (on the fresher side/not as acidic). I wish the distribution of the Guac and sour cream was more evenly spread out, but that's personal preference.

Overall, glad they opened this location so close to home! Much better experience than I had at their...

I was super excited to try this place as I heard a lot of buzz around it. The nacho fries are pretty bad, the fries are nothing special and they just randomly throw on their toppings. I wish the cheese was freshly melted on top or that they used queso. That was just like cheese wiz and it didn’t go well. The guac wasn’t good either definitely needs some flavor.

I’m a firm believer that any sit down dine in Mexican restaurant should offer free chips and salsa while I wait. Especially if service is going to take 35 mins +! I was never given any type of salsa at any point during the night, probably wouldn’t have been good anyways. I asked for chips to eat those extra toppings with my fries with but they said they would charge me and I said no thanks.

I ordered the Birria quesadilla. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong here, but shouldn’t that come with that delicious Birria dipping sauce? Nah they just used shredded beef, which was meh. I wanted that flavorful spicy quesadilla, but it was not and I I only got bad and older looking guac and sour cream, no salsa or Pico.

The only reason they aren’t a 1 star is because that tuna seaweed taco was FANTASTIC. It makes me want to go back and try all of their Asian fusion items only. It was Cinco De Mayo weekend so I wanted Mexican food, but if you just want Mexican food there are many better options than this. I will be back to try more of the Asian themed menu...
