We ordered $150 worth of food. Most of them were served on time. We always order a plate of assorted seafood 해물한상 as well. The assorted seafood took over an hour, to the point we finished everything we had ordered and to ask where our order was. At this point, I wasn't thrilled. I was told it is getting ready and that they are busy. Sure, there were 4 tables.
And when it was served, there was barely any cheese on the Mussels, and shrimps were extremely tiny like the ones you'd use for fried rice.
Mind you, I've been coming here with friends almost every week or two, and it's been our absolute favorite. And the guy who usually takes care of our orders and food have been fantastic.
We asked the waitress who said she's the manager, didn't even apologize for how late it was served, nor how it was different from the ingredients a few weeks ago when we asked. She simply said, "that's how It's been made and served, so there's nothing we can do about it." And I'm thinking.. okay, so they literally changed and downgraded the ingredients within the last two weeks. I had this dish 3 times last month alone. Then I showed pictures how they were served every time we were here. Then she was giving us attitude that's how it is, and at this point we didn't really want this dish anymore despite the fact that we waited over an hour for this plate to the point we have finished rest of the food(corn cheese, sodduck, stir fried octopus and pork, chicken teriyaki, bulgogi stew, etc.)
Not sure what to make out of this, since the guy who usually takes care of us have been nothing but fantastic, and we've always left generous tips for great services. But the waitress/manager was extremely unapologetic when the order was late beyond a reasonable amount of time, and we asked why ingredients were served differently today, only to face with tone against customers. I'm deeply disappointed by how we were treated, rather than making us feel like we should...
Read moreUnfortunately was very disappointed with my experience at Oseyo :( I had seen this place become somewhat tiktok famous and all the photos, reviews and the menu selection had me dying to try this place out. My bf and I both have Korean heritage so we know good korean food and know all the attributes of a good Korean restaurant. With this being an “Asian fusion” restaurant, I believe most of the flavors are meant to cater towards non Koreans. To begin, when we were first seated I expected there to be at least 5-6 banchan “side dishes” to be laid out for us like every other Korean restaurant. But to my surprise there were only 2 extremely small dishes for banchan that were both different variations of radish. We had to personally ask for kimchi and rice was an additional charge. :( This seems to be a trend for a lot of new Korean restaurants (little to no side dishes and rice is not free). I can understand that giving these items out when your customers are non Korean and may not prefer them may save costs, but for Koreans or those who enjoy those side dishes (and even rice!) it was very disappointing. We ordered the spicy pork ramen, carbonara tteokbokki and the soy garlic popcorn chicken, all decent portions for the price. The chicken and ramen were INCREDIBLY salty !!! Very disappointed as it made it almost unbearable to eat. Many low reviews of this place mention the saltiness of the food at this place and boy were they not joking. The carbo tteokbokki was decent at best, but would not try it again. Service was okay and food came out very fast, but wow this place is kind of a disappointment for Koreans, but I can definitely understand why non Koreans love this place. Personally, I would not be back here as there are plenty of other good Korean restaurants a 5min...
Read moreUsed to be my favorite spot for the carbonara ttokbokki with 2 add-on toppings until yesterday… now thanks to the poor service and the missing Oscar dish that brought me back here is all out of the window.
I am not sure if they changed management or not but the whole menu has changed. I took photos and will attach it. An older Korean lady trying to dress hip sat us down and told us about the menu change. I asked if they still offered the carbonara bc that's what I always came to Oseyo for, the ONLY thing I come here for. She told us they still had it. So before the menu change, they offered the carbonara ttokbokki with 2 add-on toppings (popcorn chicken, fried egg, ramen, etc.). I always chose the ramen and some other topping bc ttokbokki is too much for one dish and the ramen add on is what really made the dish amazing. When I tried to order and tell her that we've been here numbers of times so I know what I used to order she kept bickering back and forth with me about it saying "no, no we don't have." I asked if I could sub ttokbokki for ramen or even add the ramen to the order, "no no you can't do that". Clearly they are not here to keep customers or satisfy customers wants. So I told my husband I did not want to eat here anymore, she heard so she just rudely walked away from us. She had an attitude and her tone of voice was not friendly to begin with anyways. I won't be coming back to this establishment anymore. A total...
