I’m currently dining here with nine friends, and I feel compelled to share our experience. We ordered several dishes, including the chole puri. Unfortunately, my vegetarian friend discovered that the chole was stale. It was obvious they tried to mask the taste with spices.
I promptly informed the staff, and the chef initially insisted it wasn’t spoiled. I then went to the bar counter with the puri plate, where the chef tasted it again. Eventually, another chef confirmed that the curry was indeed spoiled.
This has been a ridiculous experience overall. If you’re looking for fresh food made the same day, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
Edit : After the owner's reply, I wanted to clarify that the chef didn't assure me the food was fresh. He tasted the chole and said it was fine, but another chef later confirmed it was spoiled. I still had over 75% of my plate untouched, which you can verify with your cameras. The food was average, just like your service. It’s clear why your ratings are low. Instead of just calling employees after a bad review, focus on improving food quality and customer service for those who trust your restaurant. Regarding the unbilled item, they offered to give me freshly cooked food, but I told them I didn’t want it and asked to remove it from the bill. It wasn’t your staff courtesy; you should have asked your staff for the full details before responding to my review. Initially, they didn’t want to remove it, but after I mentioned there could be consequences, they finally did. Terrible owner, no wonder why they acted like that.. it's just the influence from the owner i...
Read moreMy husband had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, so we figured we'd go before the storm last night. We got there around 5:45 and were the only people there. Our server was a lovely young man, as was the the young lady who greeted us and made our drinks. The restaurant was impeccably clean; we really enjoyed the vibe in there. It had some traditional Indian decor, gorgeous serving dishes...and the glass top tables were very interesting.
Ok... the food. We ordered the Gobi Manchurian to share as an app. The taste of the fried cauliflower mixed with the vegetables and seasoning was absolutely amazing. Very generous portion. I found it to be too spicy to have a second serving, but my husband loves spicy food and went nuts over it.
We esch ordered the Tikka Masala, and we ordered a side of garlic Naan Bread. We thought we'd split one order of the Naan bread, but after one bite, ordered another one. I ordered my dinner mild and it was perfect. A cool option they have on the menu is smaller portions. I ordered a smaller portion, and after the appetizer and Naan bread, I was still able to bring home half my dinner.
All the way home, my husband kept telling about how excited he was to have his meal for luch the next day. Too funny!
I hate to say this, but it is so nice to have really good, healthy, moderately priced restaurants in the valley. There just aren't enough. A wonderful experience. We will be...
Read moreI cannot give this place enough stars. The food here is so freaking good. I had been craving a good curry dish for the last few years and had tried several different restaurants in North Conway, but none had satisfied my craving. A couple months ago a friend suggested Haveli. They were hidden away in a building of businesses that I had not paid much attention to in my many drives in and out of town. It only took one visit for this place to jump to the top of my preferred list. I have been several times and the food is consistently delicious. I order two to three dishes everytime I go, and make sure to try something new every time. I love the Masala Dosa, as it's gluten free and vegan and I am also a huge fan of lentils. Their Lollipop Chicken appetizer is so good. Garlic Naan? A++. Butter Chicken? A+. Curry Chicken? A+.
Please take the time to eat here when looking for something other than burgers, pizza and subs. It is also worth the trip if living outside of town. I've also noticed online ordering is available but it doesn't look like the full menu is available for that, although I'm sure calling for take out would get the full menu.
I am going to miss this place so much! I am so mad I discovered it right before getting ready...
