Bojangles — Restaurant in Cookeville

I drive with Uber and picked up passengers near BNA and drove them to Cookeville last night. I was hungry and I just happened to spot this restaurant as I was leaving town. I eat at Bojangles about twice a month in Nashville so I pretty much knew what I wanted. What I didn't expect was what I got. It was about 8pm and I ordered Bo Bites. They told me that they would need to cook some fresh ones and that it would be a few minutes (most places won't do at that time but they did). While I was waiting, I saw them throw out the expired ones and bake fresh biscuits, which apparently also for my order. End result...the freshest fast food I have had in a while that prepared me to make the 1.5 hour drive home to Franklin TN. They didn't know that I have worked in fast food for many years. And I want them to know how much I appreciate the extra? effort to provide a great...

Bojangles employees are almost always friendly. The company has changed the breading on their chicken, and it's a little more spicy than the previous was. I usually get the kid's meal because I don't eat large meals. The time before last, I got a 3-piece tender meal. I figured the kids meal was the same so I got that this time. It had changed as well. Don't get me wrong, the chicken was really good! I just can't imagine kids being able to eat chicken that spicy. The seasoned fries are still spot on! I also like their mac and cheese. They also changed their biscuits a while back and the new ones are cheddar biscuits similar to Red Lobsters. My mom doesn't care for them, but I LOVE them! I much prefer them over the old ones! Overall, if you can handle a little spice, they have very moist and tasty...

Fast, friendly service, tasty food at a reasonable price...what more can you ask for? I'm referring specifically to breakfast. We visited early...about 7 am, and went through the drive-thru. We ordered an egg, sausage and cheese biscuit, a sweet 'Bo-berry' biscuit (which is a blueberry biscuit with white icing drizzled over it) and I had the country ham biscuit. I really enjoyed the texture of the biscuit...it was slightly buttery, fluffy and moist but less dense than most other fast food chains; something I really appreciate as I'm not a fan of thick, dry biscuits. The country ham had a bit more fat on it than I'd prefer but had great flavor. My companions both really enjoyed their biscuits as well. I'd definitely return here...
