Rib City - Cookeville — Restaurant in Cookeville

Went there with four others I was the only one who got ribs the others got something chicken related and riblets along with some cheese fries me and my wife shared a meal for with 3 "main dishes" together with turkey and BBQ chicken out of all of that the only thing that was semi-good was the ribs and the cheese fries so not only was 60 percent of the food not that great it costs more you could literally just go to chili's get a meal for 2 for 25 and still get more food

Even if the meal we shared was meant for one person the meal for two is 40 dollars for once again lower quality food than chili's or golden corral FOR MORE OF THE PRICE it seemed like a nice place and the staff was friendly but you cant excuse what's basically a downgrade to just going to chillies or golden corral which honestly aren't that fancy themselves I'm not expecting Texas roadhouse quality but if your gonna charge the same prices as them my God the food needs to be even slightly lower

At the end of the day only bother if you've tried literally every thing else and if you have try them again by then maybe they could of updated some things and itll be yummy ^^

I do wanna add the food had like a air fryer taste to it like I could not taste any trace of a BBQ on the chicken and if it was smoked it had a weird taste, the Turkey was sliced like lunch meat and...

Please read the original review listed below as it gives some context to my updated review. I decided to come in and give them another try after a terrible experience a few nights ago. My waitress, Jessica, did an awesome job! She deserves a raise for her experience, attention, and personality! She can teach the managers how to take care of customers! The food was great! Today’s experience was 5 star!

I get seated and it took the waiter 15 minutes to ask me what I wanted to drink! Then, I ordered my food and it took forever. The “rib and rib combo” was horrendous! It was burnt, did not come off the bone easily, etc. I didn’t ask for the manager but the waiter got him when I told him these things were dry and did not taste good! The manager said “yeah they’re a bit over done” and gives me a “free appetizer” card for “next time”. Yeah… there won’t be a next time for me! $23.68 for food that was barely edible! Stand clear of this place. Waste of time, crappy tasting food! I wish I could post a picture because I have one. Is there a way to post the picture of the garbage I was sold? The least you think they would have done is not charge me for this crap! Oh well lesson learned, never going here again. I highly recommend NOT going here! Stand...

If I could give 0 stars I would, there was absolutely nothing good about this place. Should’ve left from the get go. Once we walked in the door there was 3 different employees walk by us, we had 3 in our party, one employee walked to the computer at the entrance, no one and I mean NO-ONE acknowledged us standing there. We stood there for 10 mins before someone finally came and asked how many they weren’t even busy, my husband even checked in on the kiosk, then when we were seated the lady couldn’t even let my husband sit down before she basically pushed her way past him. Then after we ordered and got our food. The Okra was good, but the brisket was dry, the Mac and cheese had to much pepper it burned my mouth, the loaded baked potato was dry. The waitress never came and refilled my drink. My husband got the rack and a half of ribs, they were dry and tough, his beans tasted burnt and he had the same complaints of the max and cheese, his friend which this was a dinner for his birthday he got the brisket that he didn’t eat either he said it was thought and dry, his beans were burnt and his Mac and cheese had to much pepper as well. I left all the food on my plate, and yet still got charged for it. The waitress even seen I didn’t eat. Don’t waist your time...
