Dumont Creamery & Cafe — Restaurant in Coppell

I have been to this place 5 times in total. First time I went was when they opened. I ordered the purple patch, which is a taro slush drink with custard and boba. It was delicious.

Next 4 times I went, they did not have boba ready. Each time they gave me the excuse that it is usually ready at a later time. First they said, ready by 11 am on the weekends. Second time, I was told ready by 12 pm. Third time I was told ready by 1 pm. Most recent time they said it will take 1 hour, and will be ready by 2 pm. When I pointed out it was already 1:40 pm, they then said 3 pm. What's happening here?!

At this point, this place feels like a scam. A bait and switch, but in the dumbest way possible for something so simple as boba. They have offered poppin pearls and lychee jelly as substitutes, but these are not the same. The poppin pearl internal flavors are terrible with the purple patch, and the lychee jelly is mediocre at best.

The only reason I'm not giving this place 1 star is the first (and only) time I had an actual purple patch with...

I’ve been here before and my first experience was great. The second time, I decided to bring my family during an outing this past Sunday. The girl at the registration counter gave me so much attitude because my mom’s diabetic and I was asking for an unsweetened milk tea. She seemed so unhappy we were there and I guess it’s because we were a large party. I also looked at my receipt and I was over charged by two ice creams. She didn’t take the need to go through my order with me at the counter so I knew the likelihood of it being wrong was possible.

They also had an incident with a lizard being in their facility and both staff members were scared so my family took care of it for them. Sure they offered us a complimentary item for it but that doesn’t take away from the poor customer service experience.

My whole family felt uncomfortable and picked on while we were there. Be more kind to your customers, especially when you’re going to charge them incorrectly and they still tip you...

YESSS COME HERE! Forget all the coffee places and come RIGHT HERE! Highly suggest hot or cold drink The Spanish Latte or the Blackberry White Mocha. I am obsessed with the drinks here. From Lattes, Milk Tea, Smoothies, Slushies and even out of this world flavorful Ice Creams. Oh, try the biscoff ice cream it's delish too! All their flavors are so different, which I love!

What's even more grand... they close late! I am so annoyed that everything around here closes so damn early!? Finally, somewhere you can go for a nightcap or quick fix, where they don't close at 9pm. I love the location too. It's clean and modern and I don't feel like I'm going to get robbed.

The customer service too is very kind and welcoming. 1000% come here rather than Dunkin, rather...
