Disappointment at Paris Baguette: Unprofessionalism from Start to Finish
Visiting Paris Baguette with my family, we expected a pleasant evening of pastries and company. Instead, we encountered a double dose of disappointment, starting with the cashier's rudeness and culminating in the manager's inefficiency.
Arriving at 8:30pm, just before closing, we understood the potential for limited service. However, the cashier's hostility was immediate. Refusing to warm our pastries and then declaring the dining area closed despite other patrons enjoying their food , she created a confusing and unpleasant atmosphere.
My wife, understandably, questioned the inconsistencies, only to be met with escalating negativity from the cashier, including muttering. When I intervened, seeking clarification, I was met with similar hostility.
The store manager, while apologetic, offered no sense of genuine concern. To our dismay, his "apologies" were overshadowed by staff lady's continued rudeness, banging items around, muttering under her breath and getting combative instead of being apologetic. This lack of remorse further soured the already unpleasant experience.
Despite having 20 minutes before closing, and other patrons clearly enjoying their meals, the negative energy was simply too much. We decided to leave and enjoy our coffee and pastries elsewhere.
It's truly disheartening to witness employees like this representing a brand built on hospitality. Paris Baguette should take notice of such behavior and be ashamed of how it tarnishes their reputation. Not only was the cashier's unprofessionalism unacceptable, but the manager's inefficiency compounded the disappointment.
Paris Baguette must prioritize staff training and implement clear service standards to ensure a welcoming and consistent experience for customers (at least in...
Read moreWe visited this cafe while on vacation in the area. I do not recommend this place. Really bad customer service and very basic, but very overpriced pastries. We didn't finish most of our items and they didn't give us our chai tea lattes.
There was a huge wait for checkout while the cashier heated up two of our items and it was raining pretty badly, so when the cashier gave us the order, we thanked him, took it and left. We didn't realize until later that they hadn't given us our drinks.
I went back the next morning and politely explained the situation to get the drinks they didn't give us, the rude owner tried to tell me off in front of the other customers and she said it was my fault for leaving the drinks... She was very condescending, argumentative and hostile. She refused to look up my order (even though she admitted that she could look it up) and she refused to give me my drinks that her cashier forgot to give me. To my knowledge no one even prepared the drinks when we ordered them, but regardless the owner was extremely rude and disrespectful. That is no way to treat a paying customer.
I spent about $50 at this shop over two days, trying different items because it was very close to where we were staying and we wanted to give it a chance. This is not the way to handle paying customers, and I hope the owner never treats anyone else this way. I do not recommend this place. Definitely visit 85 Degree Bakery for better food, better service and better prices.
To the owner, please educate yourself on proper customer service and learn to admit your staff's mistakes. After your behavior, I followed up with the corporate office for a refund and to discuss my complaint about how badly you treated me for absolutely no reason. This looks horrible for the Paris Baguette brand, and I'm still shocked at how...
Read moreWent here for brunch with my friends and we had 3 children with us total. The place claims to be “family friendly” with even family bathrooms. However, after my daughter spilled her hot chocolate on accident and I rushed to clean it up the manager (female Asian) stormed out and began shouting and flailing her hands at my other friends at the table saying “Control your children! Do better control!” For context, the children had UNO cards and were playing quietly at the table nearby while sipping on hot chocolate. I apologized and proceeded the clean up the spill with napkins and kindly asked for a mop and mopped the floor myself before tossing the remainder of the drinks in the trash to avoid further “accidents”. From the minute we entered, the overall vibe was rude and unwelcoming. Cashiers were brief, straight faced and had little patience when asked basic things like a cup of water etc… while I love Paris baguette I would opt for the Carrollton or Grand Prairie location from now on. Thanks for managing to make a mom’s coffee date, all looking forward for a break...
