Ordered a fish and chicken vijaywada biryani with specific instructions of making it “less spicy”. The biryanis we ate eventually were the spiciest biryani of our lives. Not lying, but the promotors of this restaurant probably interpret quantity of red chili powder in the biryani as being directly proportional to the taste of the biryani. This being their gravest mistake. I will never order from this place again. As a courtesy to my complaints the person representing the restaurant over the phone credited back the price of the fish biryani to the card I had used to pay and added a credit against my name for the chicken biryani. Appreciate him for the courtesy showed. Unfortunately he cannot do anything about the burning sensation I am going through in my mouth and stomach. The owners should definitely seek an explanation from the chef for murdering biryani as a dish. Pathetic experience and a very bad feeling I have now in my stomach after eating the chili bomb they fake as biryani. Real biryani would die a thousand deaths if it would get to know about the cheap spinoff these guys are selling here. If they keep on going the way they are , it will not be surprising (and sad) that this place will eventually be closed down like the numerous Indian restaurants that have sprung-up and closed even faster in the area. I would personally be sad because the previous owners when they had set-up near Cimarron trail used to serve really good food. Even the new owners served pretty decent food until they changed their location from near cimmaron trail to intersection of MacArthur and belt line. The new owners need to realize restaurants survive based on their food and not solely on their decor and location. I already see this place has very slow business( compared to earlier) even over weekends. I hope and pray the owners realize the eventual fate of this restaurant ( closure) due to BAD FOOD before it gets too late and take corrective actions to revive the restaurant based on positive feedback of customers for the taste...
Read moreA Culinary Delight in a Banana Leaf, Peacock Restaurant
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Peacock Restaurant, and I must say, it was a memorable experience. Located in Coppell Dallas, this restaurant offers a unique twist on traditional South Indian cuisine, serving its dishes in authentic banana leaves.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Ambur Biryani. The moment it arrived at the table, I was greeted by the rich aroma of spices that immediately whetted my appetite. The biryani was flavorful, aromatic, and had the perfect blend of spices. The tender pieces of meat, were cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with the fragrant chitti muthyala rice.
Serving the biryani in a banana leaf added a rustic charm to the experience. It not only looked visually appealing but also enhanced the overall taste. The traditional presentation made me appreciate the cultural significance of this dish even more.
The restaurant's ambiance was cozy and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for a family dinner or a casual gathering with friends. The staff was courteous and attentive, ensuring that we had a pleasant dining experience.

Read moreWorst experience at this Indian restaurant. If you don’t want to waste your whole day avoid this place. We arrived at 1pm for lunch order immediately, one non veg thali (which they mentioned is unlimited refills) and 2 non-veg Mandi’s. Ordered are served so late, 30 mins we got one thali with one piece or chicken and one piece of mutton. Everytime we asked for refills they got it after 15 mins with another one piece in total we had to wait 1 hr to eat 4 pieces in total. The price for unlimited thali is not worth it because they delay it so late that you loose interest to eat. Thalis were seved after 1 and half hour felt like we could drive to another city to get food faster. When asked for delays there was no apologies (or) empathy straightly servers told you need to wait. While billing asked I want to pay with cash they told we don’t have cash in register, but nothing was mentioned when we entered the restaurant. When asked for an itemized printed copy of bill they told we don’t have printing machine so only texted me final bill. We had family who landed from India starving for food and this is how we were treated. Worst service we experienced in all of our...
