A Taste of Authenticity: Yemeni Coffee Experience
It’s been a long time since I’ve had the pleasure of savoring truly authentic Yemeni coffee, and this recent experience did not disappoint. Yemeni coffee holds a special place in the history of coffee culture, being one of the oldest and most revered coffee-growing regions in the world. This brew captured the essence of that heritage with remarkable authenticity.
From the first sip, the coffee’s unique profile stood out. It had a rich, earthy base combined with a balanced delicate spiced undertone. The natural sweetness paired with subtle acidity created a complex yet smooth flavor, a hallmark of genuine Yemeni beans. The aroma was equally captivating, with warm, inviting scents of cardamom and reminiscent traditional preparation methods.
What struck me most was the authenticity in the brewing style. Yemeni coffee is often prepared using a meticulous roasting process that preserves its bold character while enhancing the aromatic spices. This cup reflected that attention to detail, offering a full-bodied experience that was both comforting and invigorating.
Drinking this coffee after such a long time was a nostalgic delight. It transported me back to the roots of coffee culture, where every cup tells a story of tradition, craftsmanship, and pride. Read moreWhile this cafe is absolutely stunning looking with comfortable seating, the service is slow and incompetently executed. They wait to gather all the items in your order before they call you for it. This doesn’t work in a coffee shop, only restaurants. In a coffee shop your iced and hot coffee need to be served immediately once they’re finished being prepared. The food can come later that’s fine. Speaking of their food. The zaatar croissant was stale and not very tasty and the basboosa cake was dry and the cream cheese frosting was too salty as a cake topping. The adeni tea was too spicy and less tea like. I think they need to train their employees better. I’m Leaving a five star though because I support my community’s small businesses. But will leave comments...
