We had a party of four.. The service was horrible. We felt bad for the waitress Gimena, she was stressed and had no help. The Tiradito de Rocoto and the Tacu Tacu de Lomo Saltado was okay but the Trilogia Mixta was a mess. It came with three types of ceviches that was tasteless and we left it mostly untouched since it seemed like it was just thawed out. The Mixta also came with a Jalea variation that was edible when dipping it into the Rocoto sauce from the Tiradito or the tarter sauce. The food took a long time to come and once we were still hungry, we ordered another Tacu Tacu de Lomo Saltado and a Shrimp Causa that ended up taking another 40 mins to arrive. They did such a shameful job on their Causa.. Aside from the sad taste of it, it was like they just threw it together on a Dirty Plate that had not been washed in days!!! It was a struggle to get our waters refilled along with having the option to order more beverages since staff barely came to check on us. For a good majority of the time, there were many tables that were never cleared along with our own plates that they just left on our table after we finished. Luckily there was a shift change at 4pm which service started to pick up a bit as we were nearing the end of our First...
Read moreI've been eyeing this place for quite a bit of time. Wifey wanted a date night and she chose here because we both have been wanting to try it for some time. I wish the experience was better. I wanted the experience to be so much better. We got there and we were seated quite quickly even though the place was busy. There was a couple just ahead of us who were seated at the same time. After about 5 minutes they brought us menus and the traditional Peruvian corn, and said our server would be with us shortly. Unfortunately that would be the last time anyone spoke to us. After about 15 minutes, we began to wonder if they had forgotten about us, which would be difficult as we were seated at the front of the restaurant. People paid and left and we still sat waiting to be seen. Finally another couple ppl le came in and were seated right next to us. They were promptly greeted and handed menus. They got drinks and minutes later placed their order. That was the last straw. We got up and left. We may try this place again, but I don't know. We really enjoy ceviche and were really looking forward to this place. It looks really nice inside and the atmosphere is really nice, but they need a lot of improvement in...
Read moreHad not been here in years and was delighted surprised of the expansion. Place looks clean & vibrant the minute you walk in.
Food was as good as I remember. Started with the grilled octopus as an appetizers, then mixed ceviche and chicken chaufa for our main meals. Everything was good.
I found the menu to be a bit confusing. There is a "grilled" octopus listed as appetizer but the server insisted that if we wanted it "grilled", we needed to order the meal. Don't understand why as we wanted the smaller apptz portion. The shareable ceviches on top (trilogy, etc.) didn't show prices and the server wasn't sure. Said "around $50" for the trilogy. Is it $50, $55, etc?
Having said that, service was just OK. Server wasn't familiar with their wine at all. Unfortunately there wasn't a list so we couldn't see the prices by the glass or bottle so we could make a good economical decision. I didn't want to push the server so we just ordered a glass of cabernet as a common choice but, would have liked to try something different & unique to the cuisine.
Overall, the food was good and will like to go back to try different...
