Cartel De Tacos is a fantastic new addition to Coral Springs! Located at 7671 West Sample (the former home of Toscana Pizza), this taqueria is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors.
The menu may be limited right now, but the tacos they're serving are absolutely delicious. I had the carnitas, al pastor, and their standout quesabirria. The blue corn tortillas, which are brought in from Miami, take these tacos to the next level. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the giant servings of agua frescas are refreshing and complement the food perfectly. They've also got Taco Tuesday with $2 tacos--an absolute steal!
The restaurant has a fun, casual vibe with colorful tablecloths and friendly staff. While the servers are Colombian and super nice, you might need to brush up on your Spanish. That being said, the owners speak perfect English and are more than happy to chat with you. The restaurant still has a pizza oven from its former tenant, but they're working on removing it to create more space.
If you're in the mood for drinks, they've got beer and wine-based margaritas, which is a great bonus. Paired with the tacos, it's an excellent way to unwind.
Cartel de Tacos is going to be a real gem in Coral Springs, and I can't wait to see what else they add to the menu as they expand. Highly recommend checking them out, especially on Taco Tuesday for those...
Read moreThis place has officially become my favorite taco spot. I’m here at least once a week for their $2 tacos, and honestly, they’re some of the best I’ve ever had. The flavors are so authentic—the meat is always perfectly seasoned and cooked just right.
Their horchata is another standout. The portion size is generous, and the flavor? So smooth, light, and creamy with just a hint of vanilla. It’s not overly sweet—just perfectly balanced and refreshing. Definitely one of the best I’ve had.
The staff are amazing—super friendly, attentive, and they make you feel right at home. I always judge a place by the crowd, and seeing locals regularly dining here speaks volumes about the quality.
One thing I love is the open kitchen. You can watch the chef in action, which is always cool, but what really impresses me is how clean and organized the space is. That’s a huge deal for me.
The atmosphere here is so fun and inviting. The colorful tablecloths, Mexican memorabilia, and sombreros give it such a vibrant energy. And the music? It’s the kind that makes you want to get up and dance—it just adds to the whole vibe.
If you’re thinking about Taco Tuesday, plan ahead and get here early. With only about 12 tables, it gets busy fast. But honestly, the food and the vibe make it 100% worth it.

Read more7/1- Update : Went with a group of friends for taco Tuesday deals. Soooo good! We asked the super nice waitress to surprise us with a different selection of tacos and it didn't disappoint! We also had the street corn and for dessert the churros. Everything was fantastic and authentic to the spurt of the chef!. Just a great place to relax calm down and have a great time. A++
4/25- Very clean! Service was super friendly and helpful. Came for the tacos but wow the tortas stole the show. I tried three tacos, ribs, pastor and lengua. All three were on blue corn tortillas and tasty but not blow you away flavor. I think since presentation and a high level of (healthy for you) thought was put into the design it made the tacos lack that overwhelming greasy flavorful juices you want in a tacos. However the tortas solved that issue! I tried the ham and a breaded chicken. Both were on a well buttered grilled roll full of meats and cheese and toppings. Hot and just yummy! A huge winner for something so simple. The selection of sauces was great to from a smoky bbq to spicy mole and salsa. Prices very good! I will return to try more on the menu and i would put the restaurant in top 3 for Mexican in...
