Prepare yourself for an unforgettable culinary journey as you step into the mesmerizing world of Tarka, an exquisite Pakistani restaurant that has truly redefined the art of traditional cuisine. From the moment you enter, you are enveloped in an ambiance that transports you to the vibrant streets of Pakistan, with its rich colors, elegant decor, and warm hospitality. The heart of Tarka lies in its menu—an exquisite fusion of authentic Pakistani flavors, culinary expertise, and artistic presentation. Each dish is a masterpiece that showcases the passion and dedication of the talented chefs. The menu boasts an extensive selection of mouthwatering starters, aromatic curries, succulent kebabs, and delectable desserts, ensuring there is something to satisfy every palate. To begin this gastronomic adventure, I highly recommend indulging in their signature appetizers. The Samosas, with their perfectly crisp golden exterior and divine filling, are an explosion of flavors. The Seekh Kebabs, grilled to perfection, are succulent bites of heaven that melt in your mouth. And the Pakoras, with their delicate blend of spices, are a delightful way to start your culinary journey. When it comes to the main course, Tarka truly shines. The Butter Chicken, a classic favorite, is a creamy blend of tender chicken and rich tomato sauce that will leave you craving for more. The Biryani, fragrant with aromatic spices and layered with perfectly cooked rice and tender meat, is an absolute must-try. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and each bite is a revelation. Vegetarians will be delighted with the extensive selection of vegetarian curries, such as the Palak Paneer, which combines the earthiness of spinach with the creamy goodness of paneer. The attentive and friendly staff at Tarka further elevates the dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu and genuine passion for the cuisine is evident as they guide you through the options, ensuring you have an unforgettable culinary adventure. To end your meal on a sweet note, Tarka offers an array of delectable desserts. The Gulab Jamun, soft and syrupy, is a traditional favorite that never disappoints. The creamy and aromatic Kheer is a perfect blend of rice, milk, and nuts, providing a comforting and indulgent finale to your dining experience. Tarka is not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of Pakistani culture and cuisine. The attention to detail, the commitment to quality, and the passion for authentic flavors make Tarka a true gem in the culinary landscape. Whether you are a seasoned connoisseur of Pakistani cuisine or a curious food enthusiast looking to embark on a new culinary adventure, Tarka promises an experience that will leave you enchanted and...

Just came home from having lunch at this establishment. I believe it is only their soft open but seriously- what a treasure this place is! Want top notch, reasonably priced Pakistani fare? Check it out.

I should have taken photos of the decor. Especially for a family business, the restaurant is just gorgeous. They've taken time to create an atmosphere that is somehow both up-scale and homey. When I return, I will take photos and post them here.

The service staff is very enthusiastic and also diverse...Quite a few young folk on staff which is always nice to see. The owner is extremely charismatic and clearly proud of his establishment. He was very knowledgeable and willing to take the time to explain his cuisine to my in-laws who aren't as savvy with this type of food.

We ordered two types of naan. Garlic coriander which was personally my favorite and also a sesame seed naan... Also quite delicious. We ordered the chicken korma, chicken Ginger masala and a full size lahori chicken karahi (I ended with chai because... Of course! Although I do wish I had room for dessert... Next time!) . All had such distinct flavor profiles which already sets this restaurant side from most run of the mill Indian places. The korma had a great spiciness and creaminess, but not from excess use of heavy cream that is standard most places. The Ginger masala gravvy was also delicious. They served it with fresh ginger slices right in the gravvy. You can tell that when they say everything is made fresh- they truly mean it.

Now the karahi. Buckle up. The lahori karahi was Divine. More of a drier gravvy but packed with intense flavor. I would order it again with mutton, for sure. The owner mentioned that upwards of 30 spices went into making the dish- we believe him. By the way, you can watch your food being prepared front the dining area. They set up a large window into the kitchen... Such a nice touch.

My adopted mom is Punjabi. She's from Maharashtra- Nagpur to be precise. Anytime she cooks she always starts with oil/ghee and whole spices. Anyone who knows anything about this cuisine knows that the secret is the foundation of well tempered spices. This place understands that and doesn't try to rush the process or cover it up with cream.

I will be a life long patron. As long as Tarka keeps the doors open, my family will be...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tarka Karahi and Kabab, and I must say it was an extraordinary culinary experience that left me completely satisfied. From start to finish, this restaurant exceeded all expectations, and I can't wait to share my glowing review.

First and foremost, the ambiance was inviting and warm. The cozy and beautifully decorated interior created a pleasant atmosphere for a delightful evening. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed from the moment we walked through the door.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food! Tarka Karahi and Kabab undoubtedly mastered the art of flavors. The menu boasted an array of mouthwatering dishes, and each one was a true delight. The karahi dishes were bursting with aromatic spices and tender, succulent meat that melted in my mouth. The kababs were grilled to perfection, offering a tantalizing mix of textures and spices that left me craving for more.

The attention to detail and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients were evident in every dish. The flavors were well-balanced, and you could tell that the chefs put their heart and soul into creating these culinary masterpieces.

Apart from the main courses, the appetizers and side dishes were equally outstanding. The assortment of chutneys and dips added an extra layer of taste to the meal, and the naan bread was soft and fluffy, the perfect accompaniment to the rich and savory curries.

To top it all off, the desserts were an absolute delight. The sweetness was just right, and they served as a perfect conclusion to an already fantastic meal.

Overall, my dining experience at Tarka Karahi and Kabab was unforgettable. The combination of delectable food, welcoming ambiance, and exceptional service make this restaurant stand out from the rest. I highly recommend Tarka Karahi and Kabab to all food enthusiasts and anyone looking to embark on a flavor-filled journey through authentic South Asian cuisine.

If you're seeking an extraordinary dining experience that will leave you craving for more, look no further than Tarka Karahi and Kabab. Five stars...

Not a very pleasant experience. Our first time at this location for which we travelled 160miles to have Pakistani buffet. Sent messages on their official pages of Facebook and instagram as well but no response. We tried calling for consecutive two days to inquire about the buffet but on the first day, the phone was engaged constantly while on the second day were informed they were occupied. Finally, when we made it on Sunday, they were closed at 11am! again we tried to call n got to know they were occupied so would open at 12:30pm :/ Finally, somehow we had the buffet. The items were as shown in the pictures…they were missing names… display was clean and neat so that was a solace. The food lacked the taste. The customer service by Pratima and Mairaj was nice, they tried to facilitate us as my husband was already quite taken aback with the entire experience plus Nihari was missing from the menu. On inquiring, we go to know the menu was totally changed on the day so it was arranged specially for my husband as a courtesy, which is appreciated but, it didn’t taste as it should. Channa Chat, Chicken curry and puri were the only items we feel tasted fine. Chai was okay. Overall, they need to designate someone to handle their social media and calls; work on the flavour of the food plus the restaurant floor is exceptionally slippery, they need to have chairs which don’t slip on it so easily.

Came to this restaurant after several years and new ownership. When we arrived, we were the only table seated. One other table was seated a little later. We ordered the samosas, the half order of Lahore karahi, the mixed BBQ platter, butter naan, and kheer. The samosas were disappointing as they were overpriced store bought samosas that were fried and served to us. A proper restaurant should be making their own samosas. The karahi was good, but nothing spectacular you would expect from a restaurant that specializes in karahi. The mixed BBQ platter was also good. The chicken malai kebab lacked flavor, but the overall dish was good. The naan was fresh and delicious. The kheer was good, but the description on the menu stated that it had nuts and no nuts were in the kheer. It was also served in a deceptive bowl which looked deep, but was smaller than it appeared. Unfortunately the service was very slow. I would have understood if they were busy, but just 2 tables and the waitress would disappear for several minutes. She had her AirPod in the ear and was busy talking on the phone. I hate to give halal businesses poor reviews, but I personally would not return to this restaurant.

Ok, so my wife and I love Indian food, and a friend of mine said, ok, so if you love Indian food, you’ll really love Pakistani food. Since we’re in town for business, we said, heck why not, let’s try this Pakistani place. WOW. We do love Pakistani food, or at least the food from this place. So the plaza itself located at isn’t all that nice, the decor isn’t snazzy, so don’t come here if you need that type of thing. There is plenty of parking though. The place is clean and the staff are nice. We started with a mango yogurt drink which was great. We ordered butter naan, beef nihari, and beef sultan kebab. As soon as my wife and I tasted the nihari, BAM, mind blown. So delicious. So much flavor. After eating here, my wife and I started searching on google for if there are any Pakistani restaurants in winter park, or at least Orlando so that we can have it when we are home. Anyway, we recommend this place for good food.
