After 15 minutes of waiting the waitress came by to let us know she would be right with us.There were 4 tables seated and 3 wait staff. She never came back but another waiter, new, came by to take the drink order. The two sodas came out fast but the hot tea came out 15 minutes later. We ordered stuffed shells light sause, veal parm sause on the side(which I was informed could not be done since it was pre-made and had to have some sause so it would not stick to the pan) and a dinner salad. They brought us some galic rolls, excellent, followed by the soup and salads no silverware so my son had to go to the counter to ask for it.Now we sat and waited for an hour, not one of the wait staff came by.We wanted some more drinks so my son had to go back to the counter and get them.We finally saw the entrees coming out of the oven followed by curse words from the owner/chef.He did something wrong. My son went, again,to the window to tell them to just serve the meal, they handed him his stuffed shells, did not offer to bring it to the table just gave it to him. They then brought out the veal parm, smothered in sause, not light.I asked them for the spagetti that was supposed to come with it without the sause and they bring me spagetti covered in sause. My waiter was absent for all of this because he was also the delivery person. When he came back he asked if everything was ok and I told him no.I asked if the lady I told was the owner and he said no the owner just went outside.I saw him and called him to come in.The waiter begged for me to make sure to tell him it was not his fault ,and in no way was it.I tried to tell the owner the problems and he got very hostile and told us to get out of his restaurant when we told him the service was disgusting. We did not finish our meal and he said you pay and get out or I will call the police. My son tried very nicely and politely to talk to him but he said for him to be quiet.I was willing to wait for the police to come but my son paid the bill while my husband and I were trying to tell him that the food was good but the...
Read moreIf I could give J.R. Pizza Bella more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! This spot in Coral Springs is such a gem. At first glance, the mix of Italian and Puerto Rican food on the menu might seem unusual, but once you taste it, you’ll see how beautifully both cultures shine without blending into “fusion.” Each cuisine is authentic and stands proudly on its own.
We started with the alcapurrias and empanadas, and I have to say — they transported me straight to Piñones. Perfectly seasoned, crisp on the outside, and packed with flavor inside. Then came the Italian side of the menu — pizza and lasagna. We stuck to the basics to see how authentic the flavors were. The lasagna was rich, layered beautifully, and covered in that extra stringy cheese that makes every bite comfort on a fork. The pizza was equally incredible — fresh ingredients, balanced sauce, and just the right amount of cheese and crunch. And don’t even get me started on the garlic rolls. You can actually taste the real olive oil, which gives them such an authentic, elevated flavor.
The atmosphere is another highlight. Walking in, it feels cozy and welcoming, almost like stepping into a hidden neighborhood spot where everyone’s a friend. The restaurant was spotless, and our food came out quicker than expected without ever feeling rushed. Our server was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable — offering great recommendations that really helped us enjoy the best of both menus.
Overall, J.R. Pizza Bella delivers big on flavor, comfort, and hospitality. Whether you’re in the mood for Puerto Rican classics or hearty Italian favorites, this is the place to be. I can’t wait...
Read morePassed this place 100 times and finally said why not. Music is ok but def too loud. I could not tell if this was a spanish or italian place. I was handed two menus one for puerto rican food and another for italian food. Pizza is 3 ingredients, dough, sauce and cheese and some places give you condiments (not toppings) like grated cheese, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, oregano. They are provided so the CUSTOMER can put whatever flavor they like onto the pizza. At this place you have no choice. Your are given a pizza completely coverd with garlic powder. Sad to think people associate italian cooking with heavy garlic. I even asked if someone poured garlic powder all over my pizza and I was told thats how it is. smh i get it, most people like it but what if it were salt or hot pepper, not everyone would like that, why cover the pizza with garlic powder. I had chicken francese and my "side" of pasta was in a small soup bowl with huge chunks of garlic and butter on top, again with the garlic and the chicken was not great either. My son had to go to the gas station next door when we left to get gum because the after taste of the garlic was making him nauceous. forgive my spelling. no spell check on this platform, if you want spanish/italian mixture of food and ambiance, loud music from elvis to prince and you dont mind garlic this is your spot. Ill go somewhere that pays more attention to the dough,...
