Note: to other customers there are 2 Popeyes locations on Atlantic blvd, please do not get them confused like we did. Pompano location food is great but Coral Square Mall location as my son said is poop. Ok where do I start. The 3 combo meals we bought were a huge disappointment and they made multiple mistakes. My son placed order online with their location in the mall by mistake but we decided to let it go, give it a try so my dad picked up the order and brought it home. Big mistake! They messed up 2 orders. They gave mac & cheese instead of fries for one order, and the other they gave white meat instead of dark meat when the receipt clearly had the right orders listed. The food was horrible! Chicken, and biscuits were extremely overdone. The one order that had fries they were soggy and tasted old like they sat for a long time. The coleslaw was spoiled, it could not be eaten at all. The frozen mango lemonade was way too sweet to the point where even my 11 yo son who loves sweet things thought it was too overpowering. I tried calling them to let them know and the phone just rings then goes to voicemail but it says memory full so I couldn't even leave a message. I will just never order from there again. I hope they see this review because I would suggest they get training/tips from the popeyes at 3051 W Atlantic Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33069; takes a long time to get food there but I will wait for food that taste good and is done right. Your location in Coral Square Mall will not last very long if you do not make drastic changes, get the orders right and possibly get tips from the other Popeyes restaurant in Pompano on how to prepare the food and store it properly to prevent from spoiling.
**Updated review 7/13/24: I had to edit my review because I am now also having issues getting a credit from popeyes for a duplicate order placed on their website on 7/2/24 by mistake because their website lagged and did not know the first one went through. My dad picked up one order # 76 and a staff member pretended to credit him for the other # 72 which they kept. Sadly, he did not get a return receipt from them which I realized after he got home and asked him for it. The next day when the credit still did not reflect on my card, I went back this time with him and was told by the Manager that they cannot issue credits at the location at all. The only way to get credit is through contacting customer service directly. I was upset because they should have told my dad that the day before because then we could decide to just take the order instead. I contacted CSR dept online, now it's been 10 days going back and forth, a representative claimed they transferred my request somewhere else for assistance and now they stopped responding and have provided no resolution to this issue. Read moreNot good at all. The City of Coral Springs has been waiting for a Popeyes forever and we finally have one. But the service is God Awful. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich meal and they forgot the biscuit. When I asked them for it, they asked to see my receipt & because only the sandwich combo is listed on there. They didn't believe me & charged me for the biscuit even though I had already paid for it. Today I went there and ordered the same thing, Chicken Sandwich Combo & they gave me the bag without the sandwich in it! I also went to get a refill and they charged me $1.15 for it. I've never had to purchase a refill before. Also between the time I took my order & went for my refill. The entire crew was just chatting amongst themselves in a circle with their backs turned and ignoring me & the other guests until they were ready to serve us. This entire staff is unapproachable & seems like they'd rather be anywhere but working here. I've waiting forever for a Popeyes in this city but I will never do business here again. From forgetting menu items, to charging extra for things we've already purchase to just ignoring and being rude to the guests is some of the worse service i've ever seen if you can even call it service. Read moreI placed an online order for my son, arrived to pick it up and was told they were out of the items I ordered but then also told they had some of them. The cashier kept changing her answers as to what they did actually have and made no effort to accommodate or fulfill any part of our order. My guess is she gets to keep what's left at the end of the night. She and the "manager" were dismissive and very unprofessional. They wanted to be anywhere else but there. I had already prepaid and had to submit a refund request through the app and still have not received a full refund. The cashier seemed under the influence of something and has no business working with the public or near equipment. Very disappointing evening for my kiddo and will not be returning :(
