The food is great BUT...I have a complaint regarding the Coral Springs store in the Coral Springs Mall on Atlantic Blvd. On 11/9/19, I requested from the cashier a card which I have received every month, because after 5 Chicken Teriyaki purchases the 6th is free. I have been returning each weekend since early summer because 1 free Teriyaki is very enticing. My mom and I are seniors and the free meal after 5 purchases is incentive to return. On 11/9, the rude female (young, slim) cashier said they do not give out these cards on weekends. Note: I can ONLY come on weekends since I work into the evening weekdays, and I explained that I have received this card only on weekends. I am very upset with her poor customer service and the change in policy. I am writing this complaint before posting on other social media review sites. I will wait for your response. Please FB msg. me since during the week I am not available to answer calls at work. I would appreciate it if you can send me a few cards, or inform the C.S. Sarku in the Mall to provide me a card when I need it, since I only go to the Mall on weekends. On 12/1/19, I returned to the same store and informed the cashier that 1 of my 2 Chicken Teriyaki meals are free since the 2nd was my 6th purchase on the card. She didn't respond so I repeated and she replied "CHILL". Really? Chill is how Sarku Japan teaches an employee how to respond to a customer? I am so upset. I asked her for her name and she says after I pay she will give me her name! Of course, I was going to pay! After paying I believe she said her name is Dany. I told her I will complain to corporate about her poor customer service and she says "I DON'T CARE!". She repeated "I DON'T Care!" I cannot imagine Sarku would allow a rude employee to continue working there as a cashier with her poor customer service and attitude. I informed the manager Luis who said he will talk to her later. I told Luis that she didn't care that I would notify corporate that she told me "CHILL" and she refused to give her name UNTIL I paid. This is NOT acceptable and this employee negatively affects Sarku and should be terminated. Luis knows me and my mother since we frequent his store almost every weekend. Luis promised me 3 or more cards the next time I come in. I would be disappointed if Dany is still employed at Sarku. This is employee doesn't represent Sarku. Read moreI am really sad to write this because first of all, I have been eating at Sarku Japan for forever and been to that mall a thousand times. I have always enjoyed their meals and have no complaints. Honestly, sometimes I would even ask my mother to take me to the mall just to get some teriyaki chicken. Recently I have found myself to be disappointed from the last meal that I had. Nothing was different with the food but it was the sauce. I did not quite notice it at first because I was too busy scarfing down the food. Once my dad told me something was off, I took a few bites and I then I realized that the it wasn't the food but the sauce. It didn't taste any different in flavor but it had been watered down and that was what bothered me. Sarku japan, if you are reading this... I hope you are paying attention and realize that saving a couple of cents on sauce is sad. So please, change it back. Also, if you think that your customers wouldn't notice, I did. Read moreTbh the food sometimes is ok, if you're really hungry and want to eat bad. I read the others reviews and yes the mentioned female staff member (skinny girl) seems to be unfriendly, sometimes she's nice and other times she looks miserable. There is also another gentleman (Caucasian looking) who is young unshaven, has greasy hair, etc.who seems to have a chip on his shoulder when taking my order. I try to avoid him. Other than that the only compliment I would go be it's to the young gentleman who makes the sushi, very friendly and professional.
