I had been craving unagi for a while, so I searched for a location near me, and this was the first and closest to pop up. I knew exactly what I wanted so I called in to see if I could order before I got there. Yes, I could. I ask her for “an order of unagi” and asked “how many pieces would I get?”. Her response was “we don’t have that.” 🤦‍♀️ I responded with “Oh. Okay. short pause So you don’t serve fresh water eel?”.

Her: “Yes, we have eel just not unagi. I am sorry.”

(I was shocked to hear those words, and didn’t feel like wasting time, but was still curious about if she genuinely didn’t have unagi or just didn’t know unagi means fresh water eel.)

Me: So do you have anago? Her: No. Me: short pause Okay. I will take the eel. How many pieces for an order. Her: 3 Me: Okay Her: Sushi or sashimi

For simplicity’s sake I just said “both” and I also wanted to see if I could make this an occasional restaurant for myself.

She then told me “it would be ready if 5 minutes.” I was already headed that way and was about 8 minutes away. The restaurant is a bit hidden behind the gas stations if you don’t know where to look. Once inside, I had to wait an additional 5 minutes because it was still being prepared. I had no problem with that. I then had the opportunity to look around. It was early, on a hot day, so it was kinda slow. It appeared as though a portion if the restaurant’s seating area us cut off and reserved for employees, and the other two portions were for seat guests at the grill’s dining area, and normals seating next to were the sushi was being prepared.

I said a bag wasn’t need but still received it in an extra large brown bag (like the ones used for grocery shopping), that was stapled close, and inside was my order in a normal sized to-go box. Unlike the 3 pieces of sushi i was expecting per order, I only received 2 per order. 4 pieces total, 2 sashimi, and 2 sushi. I had already eaten the sashimi before I took a picture, so my apologies. The texture of the eel was a bit too soft, almost mushy, as though it wasn’t fresh and was going to be tossed in about 4 days. The rice on the sushi was well prepared, but as soon as i picked up a piece of sushi it fell apart, immediately. There was also too much eel sauce, for the few pieces I had. They served it with pickled ginger, the not uncommon horseradish “wasabi”, 4 packages of soy sauce, chopsticks and a fork, no napkins.

I give this place a 3,but its more like a 2.5, because I am not impressed with my first experience. Maybe, the person I spoke to was new, but I feel you should know the names of the foods being served there, the quantity of them being served, and not to underestimate the time it needs to be made. I had no problem waiting , but I say this in terms of ‘what if a person doesn’t have that much time’.

Overall Experience: 1.9 Food: 2.99 Cost for Quality: 3 Speed: 3.5 Knowledge of menu: 1.5

My score: 2.58 stars out of 5.

Would I go here again? Yes, I would try it again to see if my experience is the same or different.

The chef on the hibachi grill was wonderful, and apologized for our service. My husband and I sadly didn't have the grill food, unlike my out of town family, or this would have been an amazing review. I am pregnant and a celiac, the waitress was rude when i asked about if the sauce was gluten free on my salad...her reply before walking off was I don't know. Then we had a 2 hour wait as we watched our family happily enjoy their meals, and finish them. The entire time I was feeling more and more hungry and sick, pregnant wemon don't fare well when they get too hungry. We asked 1 1/2 hours in about our food. It was blamed on the kitchen ,and we were told that they would be hurried along. After another 30 minutes and a discussion with the manager it was then blamed on the call in orders backing up. During this time we had to beg for refills. I can understand them being short-staffed, however anyone who has been in the dinning industry knows to try to be Curtis to the guests, she how ever was extraordinarily rude. We placed our order and received it 2 hours later, just seconds before the bill was handed out. Even though the hibachi cheff was amazing, and the food was greatly enjoyed by my family, our experience was not worth the price. The waitress with the bun and redish brown hair made us regret even eating there, and a 2 hour wait just to watch our family eat was definitely not worth it. We were not apologized to by the manager, or even offered a comp. So no I do not advise anyone eating here unless you are ordering the grill, and you can sip your drink. If you do call in you may stand a better chance as they seem to have priority over all others. However, our family will most definitely not be returning...

Thank you to the cheff for the amazing show, our family greatly enjoyed the food as well. We will miss your wonderful attitude and...

Absolutely terrible! Apparently we went there on a night when they don't cook hibachi on the grills, so we sat down and ordered from the menu. BIG MISTAKE! So the menu gives you options to order hibachi or teriyaki. We found out from the waitress that they use pre bottled teriyaki, so we ordered hibachi. Guess what?!?!?! It was swimming in that bottled teriyaki sauce! Super sickening sweet. I took 1 bite and knew my pre diabetic self had better not take another! Not to mention, sweet is meant for dessert, not dinner! The clear soup is also disgusting! It's obviously made from fish stock, all I could smell was fish. When the waitress asked why I didn't eat, I told her how sweet it was and I couldn't eat it due to health reasons. I was told, oh you should've said something, we could've given you the light. Are you kidding me? I didn't order teriyaki! So be aware folks! On the menu it offers teriyaki and hibachi. The only difference is one is serve with bottle teriyaki over vegetables, and the other is served with bottled teriyaki and rice and noodles. Both swimming in teriyaki! Also, my friend forgot the to go box. We didn't even get the key in the car and she ran back in. They threw away the to go box. They never offered any compensation of any kind. Save your money! AVOID THIS PLACE! 2 dinners and a sweet tea cost $52...

Found this restaurant while driving on the highway.(Billboard Sign) My mom and I had been driving for a little while for our business trip and decided to stop somewhere close to eat. When we went in the restaurant a guy welcomed us in and asked us if we would like to sit at a booth or chair. I replied booth but he took us right to the chair. Then what's the point of asking?! Then we started to order food, we each got a box plate and it comes with clear soup, salad, and rice. My mom also ordered a seafood soup which is suppose to be different than the clear soup. Unfortunately this is where the issue started. The waitress asked my mom two times on what kind of soup we ordered and it took them about 20minutes to get the soup to our table.(The food came pretty quick) When she tried the seafood soup, it tasted the same as the clear soup, they just added some seafood in the soup. LOL! And the seafood soup cost $10-$15!(But it is literally the clear soup, adding some seafood to it!) Also the waitress looked like she was very frustrated and it made me felt uncomfortable. I couldn't give them more that two stars and their pricing is somewhat fair.

It was quite a surprise to find such fun place along I75 running from Milton 🌀 We had an amazing waitress and the habachi chef was top notch. The food is standard style fried rice and noodle fillers with lots of butter and oil, the veggies and proteins were quite nicely done. Our chef lightened the seasoning for us which I appreciate since too much salt makes this baby cry. The miso soup was quite good with wakeme and tofu, salad drenched in a non ginger dressing, not bad just different. The fried ice cream dessert was nice touch. Can’t complain since the food was pretty good and service superb!
