Located conveniently along my daily commute, Mama's Pizza Express had always piqued my curiosity, yet it took a family outing to finally experience its offerings. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and efficiency by the friendly staff. Our orders, ranging from a classic pepperoni pizza to the intriguing Pizza Hero hot sandwich and a serving of chicken wings, were promptly served piping hot.
Each dish showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality, with fresh ingredients and generous portions of cheese enhancing the flavors. The wings were a standout, impeccably cooked and boasting ample meatiness. Mama's Pizza Express isn't just about pizza; their extensive menu includes an array of Italian dishes, ensuring there's something for every palate.
After indulging in the savory delights, we couldn't resist sampling their dessert selection and opted for the chocolate cannoli, a decision we certainly didn't regret. The dining area exuded a clean and inviting ambiance, with the option for outdoor seating adding to the charm.
While we didn't utilize the restroom facilities, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the establishment left a positive impression. For those craving authentic Italian fare served with efficiency and a smile, Mama's Pizza Express comes...
Read moreMama's Cornelius gets 5 stars every day of the year, but not today. I eat here at least once a week, sometimes twice. The food is always good, the menu has a lot of variety, & the service is well above average, but today was the exception. I ordered a sub to go & went to the dining room to wait like I always do. 20 minutes passed and my food hadn't been brought out so I went to check on it. Turns out they forgot about me. I wasn't annoyed at all bc Mama's has always been a good experience. I shrugged off the wait time, got my sub, & headed home. The sub needed to be heated up so I placed it in my microwave, hit the start button, and left it unattended while I let my dog out. When I came back inside I immediately smelled smoke & saw flames in the microwave. The sub was on fire bc the paper it was wrapped in was paper on the outside, but foil on the inside. I learned a long time ago that you don't put metal in the microwave. I guess I should have unwrapped the sub before I cooked it, but foil lined wrapping paper was not something I expected. If I had to choose between a broke microwave, or a burned down house, of course I'll buy a new microwave. Maybe I should have checked before I heated my sub, and I will from this...
Read moreThe food is tolerable but the staff is not. We have given this restaurant several chances but it seems it is standard hiring procedure to hire only rude, argumentative women with a bad attitude. Example, we dined there tonight and the unfriendly woman at the counter got our order wrong 3 times after repeating it to her over and over because "she can not hear because it was loud in the restaurant" (we were the only customers in the place). She argued with us about how many drinks we ordered after we told her three times, hello there are three people eating we need three drinks.
The bad customer service continued when she brought out our daughters dinner and then ours 15 minutes later. Our daughter's food was mushy & horrible and barely warm. When she brought our food we had to stop her fast exit to tell her about the food, she argued with us that it was steaming hot when she brought it out.
This isn't a one time incident, all of the front counter staff are rude and short with you like you are bothering them to order food at their counter.
Too bad because it has potential of being a good restaurant just needs lots of customer service training and...
