Starbucks — Restaurant in Cornelius

Update to this post a few months later: They have increased their staff and significantly improved! I recommend this spot much more now.

Used to come here a lot, they were friendly and got the order I needed just fine. Lately when I come in it is a wreck. There are many times where no one is at the counter and a Harris Teeter employee has to attempt to take a starbucks order, the area behind the counter looks like a tornado came through, and when there is an actual employee there they can’t really keep up with drink orders. Not their fault, I think they are understaffed and not well managed. Last time I went in I had put in a mobile order and paid already and was told when I got there that the mobile orders were supposed to be turned off that day and they didn’t even have the ingredients to make my drink, so I left with nothing. Again, not the employees fault, but just a warning before you go...

I have issues every time I come to this location. The service is backed up and the associates do not engage with customers for an extended period of time. When there is an issue with my order, I have to stand and wait while they look at me multiple times before addressing me. Once, I ordered food and stood waiting for 10 minutes before I had to ask and then they told me they didn't have it. Today, I ordered a drink, and it's been made the same at every other Starbucks, including this one, but today, they didn't make the drink the way I asked, even after showing them what I ordered on the app. They also said the drink didn't usually come with cold foam, but it's literally pictured with cold foam in the photo on the wall. This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I only come back because it's so convenient, but at this point, it's not...

I've gone here several times and unless one specific woman is there, usually by herself, my order always comes out wrong.

Minor customizations have been either ignored or derailed the entire order. Asking for a cold drink to be prepared hot is met with pure puzzlement while asking to substitute ingredients has had very different, all unfavorable, results. Sometimes they add something I didn't ask for, other times an entirely new drink, and when I ask for the right drink it's almost always an entirely new one of a completely different kind.
