The best (and most delicious) decision we made for our wedding! My husband had one simple request for our wedding: “Can we have pizza for dinner?” And thanks to Cosmo’s Pizza Corolla Light, that dream came true in the most perfect way possible. While researching caterers in the Outer Banks, I stumbled upon a blog that mentioned Cosmo’s used to cater weddings. I took a chance and reached out to Matt, and I’m so glad I did! From our very first visit to their Corolla location (where one slice was all it took to convince us), Matt and his wife, Allison, were amazing—patient, kind, and so accommodating to every question from my over-planning bridal brain. A month before our wedding, Matt even toured our venue with us to go over every detail and make sure the setup would be seamless. Come wedding day, their team stole the show. It was the perfect addition to our backyard beach celebration—fun, interactive, and absolutely unforgettable. Guests couldn’t stop talking about it! The charcuterie board they created for our cocktail hour was stunning, and the pizza… well, let’s just say people are still raving about it—especially the white crab pizza (a total hit!). It was delicious, unique, and such a reflection of “us.” To top it all off, my husband and I even got to bake our own pizza at the end of the night—a memory I’ll cherish forever. I’m endlessly grateful for Matt, Allison, and the entire Cosmo’s Pizza Corolla Light team. They went above and beyond to make our wedding magical, memorable, and delicious. If you’re dreaming of a wedding that’s full of fun, flavor, and heart—this is your sign to book them.

We Ordered 1x Gluten Free supreme pizza, 1 half bacon/onion half pepperoni, and 6 wings which came out to $72 before gratuity. We wanted to like this place. After seeing several other pizza places in the area closed, we decided to try Cosmo’s - they were definitely caught off guard by the volume of orders this evening, but the staff was super friendly on pickup, and even though it took a bit longer than estimated for the order to be completed, we didn’t mind. The regular pizza (non GF) was fantastic - really tasty, excellent dough with a bit of chew and still crispy, really great pizza. Unfortunately the GF supreme pizza was downright spicy, and the wings were burned and dry. We couldn’t figure out if it was the sauce that was spicy or what, but they definitely left a bunch of seeds from the green onion on the pizza. I called in to see if they could do a partial refund for the GF supreme because it was truly inedibly spicy for our party, and we were ~40 mins away from the store. The “manager” gentlemen (did not catch his name) said that they “honestly never do refunds or reimbursements based on hearsay” but that we could “bring the food in tomorrow for analysis”. I have never heard of an establishment doing this - asking to bring food in the next day for review, before they’ll consider any partial refund. This is an astounding lack of customer service for an establishment that charges this much for food. To not even offer any type of reimbursement is astonishing. While we enjoyed the regular pizza, we will never be coming back to Cosmo based on the totally disconnected level of customer service.

Pizza is ok, poor business practices are not. On the menu, this little pizza (small) is $13.99 but as you can see on the receipt, they billed $14.54. When I asked the sale associate why, she said it includes tax, but as you can see below, they separately bill tax 6.75% at the bottom. Same thing with the pepperoni, which is extra for $4.00 on their menu, but billed at $4.16. So that’s how a small pizza for $13.98 ends up costing $20!.,. It’s not about the dollars and cents, it’s about good and honest business practices, which this is not. Sorry, but I can’t support this and won’t be coming back despite the pizza being ok. Good luck! P.S. the girl at the desk said - oh, thank you for letting me know, I’ll tell the owner. But looking at the negative reviews now, I see that the owners are well aware of this issue and it’s very intentional, no accidents here! What a rip off! P.S.S there are no signs saying that you’ll be charged extra 3.5% for paying with credit card. Typically, shops don’t charge extra for that on transactions $5 or above or disclose such surcharges. For sure, we won’t be back.

EDIT: YIKES! So you’re just going to flat out lie now? 😂 I was the only person standing in line in front of you when I asked the question at the time and you damn well know this. And even if that happened to be the case (which it wasn’t), I asked a simple yes or no question that you could have answered in 2 seconds. I had asked if my name had been called because I wanted to make sure that my food wasn’t sitting on the counter getting cold, especially after spending +$80 on it. I wasn’t asking if you “could” call my name. And the guy who eventually gave me my food called out my name anyway, so I don’t get the point you’re even trying to make right now. 😭 But at this point I can tell you’d just rather envelop yourself in lie after lie instead of taking accountability for the sake of your own business. -1 star.

Ordered food for pickup and then we stepped away for a bit to walk around while they were preparing the order. We came back a little later and asked the cashier, Matthew, if they had called me (as in called my name). Matthew proceeded to pop an attitude and say “No we’re not going to call you.” Trying to figure out where the attitude was coming from, I realized he thought I was asking if they called my phone. I tried to clarify what I meant the second time and he just repeated what he told me before. And it wasn’t until I gave him the same attitude he was giving me back that he finally gave me the answer I was looking for; an eta of when it would be ready. Dude’s anger was blinding his common sense. If he didn’t have such a nasty attitude to begin with, it wouldn’t have taken him 4 tries to answer my question. He wasn’t the only worker in there that seemed to hate his job either, because I noticed a couple of instances of workers mumbling passive aggressive things under their breath about customers.

Food was alright (only reason this is getting a 2 star instead of 1) but Mathew’s petty attitude left a bad taste in my family and I’s mouth. Would not recommend this place unless you’re...
