Ned's Ice Cream & Sweets — Restaurant in Corolla

The service was frighteningly bad, made the entire experience difficult and overwhelming. While we were getting the total number of ice cream cups priced, one of the kids (9 years old and not paying attention) in our group wandered about three feet from the register. The cashier immediately started to scream that the 9 year old wasn’t allowed to go “there” and she had to stay “here” —not elaborating on either location— insinuating that a child was going to run off with the ice cream that was already rung up…while it was getting paid for and it was already rung up.

Someone else in the group asked for whipped cream on her milkshake —twice— and when she finally got it, the cashier screamed that she needed 90 cents now, shouting and pointing at someone who was already leaving after she’d asked for whipped cream (twice) and was given it after the order was paid for.

The peanut butter cup ice cream was pretty good so I’ll give them that, but I had a little bit of cotton candy from where the worker didn’t clean off the scoop before starting another cup. People with allergies should NOT trust this place for risk of cross...

We were visiting the area with a Birthday Boy who wanted soft serve, and we had some problems finding any near where we were (beach access F). after calling and stopping in to multiple places. The Birthday Boy's favorite thing on earth is watermelon, and they had some INSANELY GOOD Watermelon Fro Yo that he went nuts over! Ned's DOES have soft serve as well as Frozen Yogurt with an insane toppings bar. The adults had sundaes and all 4 kiddos had Fro Yo.

The staff was crazy kind, especially since we arrived about 20 minutes before closing. Thanks for making our Birthday Boy's...

i don't know why there's so many negative reviews, this isn't the hamptons like why are y'all expecting the greatest service of your life??

anyways, my group and i came here 3 days in a row. the ice cream is extremely affordable especially for the amount you're given. a large is basically the size of a pint. also, the employees were super kind to us and we had no difficulty whatsoever. the group behind us had a large order and the staff handled it with no troubles.

i strongly recommend that you visit ned's, especially for the ice cream. my group and i will definitely miss...
