Went here two nights in a row while on our honeymoon. It was that good. We'll established seafood and steak house resturant. Plenty of parking, no reservations. First come first served. The first night we were waited on by the "good looking waiter, Derek". He was a coooooel guy and a super waiter (besides being the best looking in the whole place...😆😎.....that's an inside joke). The Missus had a crab cake appetizer that was almost all lump crab meat! So good that I tried a taste and ordered them the second night! My gosh, they were goooood! She then had the surf n turf lobster tail and fillet mignon. I had the chefs special seafood over pasta with lump crab meat, shrimp, scallops in a creamy basil sauce. Oh my goodness, was it goooood! Cocktails were good before we ate. We each had a well made Bloody Mary and the 2nd night I had a dirty martini.. Remember: no reservations, so first come first served. The wait can go fast though, or sit at the comfortable bar. Many people do just that. Folks, don't miss this great eatery if you are in Corolla, or Duck, Outer Banks.

Everyone is raging about this place, wanted to check it out. They don't take reservation so make sure to come early they will put your name down for a virtual line, when your turn is up they will txt you and have 10mins to come claim your seat. No waiting inside or get any drink when you are waiting. There's daily special menu, they might run out fast. I didn't get one of the appetizer I want from special that was only 7:30pm. But I'm happy with other food they offered too. The crab grenade is definitely a must, there's huge chunks of crab meat inside. The crab soup is also amazing and flavorful. I had the tile fish special with crab meat on top, the fish is very fresh with huge chunks of crab meat on top, I only wish the sauce is a bit salty. The flavor is a bit bland and be careful also there are some small fish bones. The service was great. Our waitress is very friendly and came to check on us from time to time.

Restaurant is dark and well air conditioned which was welcoming from a morning in the sun and heat. Went for lunch. Service felt very rushed, but they had few tables inside and quite a few people waiting so while it was kind of annoying, it was understandable. Had the crab dip appetizer and it was awesome. Family had a decent spread of the menu and everyone seemed happy with their orders though portions were pretty small, even for lunch. I got the fish and chips, and it was terrible. Only one small piece of fish which was rubber and very few fries. Came in a goofy funnel shaped basket that tried it's best to tip over whenever touched. Wound up dipping my fries in the remaining crab dip to avoid leaving hungry. If you find yourself already in the surrounding shopping area it's probably not a bad place to grab a bite, but certainly not worth a special trip here.

If I could I would give this 0 stars. I do not know where all the 4 and 5 star reviews came from. The restaurant the small dark, is smelly and the staff bump in to you all the time while waiting. My wife ordered steamers I ordered fish-and-chips I my kids order to pulled pork and the crab cake sandwich. The steamers came about 20 minutes before our sandwiches arrived. Agreed that when I come from the raw bar of might arrive at different time but 20 minutes before our sandwiches were made. Excuse made was that the kitchen was little backed up. There was 4 to 5 tables in the entire restaurant. My fish and chips came out and they were disgusting. If anybody is familiar with English fish-and-chips or traditional fish-and-chips this is not fish-and-chips. 3 pieces of slimy fried fish. Each about the size of your little finger. Absolutely gross. Stay away. It's a shame because the probly have so much foot traffic that they don't really care about the reviews that people post but this will be the last time I will be back and spend a $120. Let me put it another prospective. If you want bad food, bad service for over priced food come to this place. I'mThere's a lot of letter restaurants on the strip that can offer more friendlier service, nicer tasting food and for a lot less money. Oh and by the way if anybody from the restaurant pr owners are reading this your table texting system is terrible. I kept getting texts to from your system that our table ready, we're nearly there, were top of the line, every time I got a text I either clicked cancel clicked sent number 3 or sent stop message whatever I in fact they got a message after the meal with finished and I was walking out the door that our table was ready. Total experience from the time we entered the door to the time we left was really badd. Try anywhere else I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Also very very pricey. Really expensive for the quality and amount of food to get they should be charging...

Our family had high hopes for North Banks. The reviews looked great, and we had walked by the restaurant the previous day and it smelled delicious.

We got there early to ensure all 7 of us would be able to get a table together. For appetizers, I got some raw oysters, which were delicious. My wife ordered the fried green tomatoes which were phenomenal. My dad ordered the bread basket for the table. This is where things start to go south…

My wife is very allergic to flax seed. Apparently the bread (which we were told the restaurant buys frozen in a bag) had flax seed in it. We ask our waitress to double check with the kitchen. Strangely, she says she doesn’t know and the staff in the kitchen likely wouldn’t either. My sister basically has to push her to go read the back of the packaging, which should have just been the waitress’s first thought.

Three of us ordered the grilled platter or whatever it was called which is $45 and comes with either tuna or salmon, a very small steak, a vegetable, and mashed potatoes. My which I ordered medium rare, is almost well done. I’m not surprised by this since the steak is so small and probably cooks really fast but still disappointing as it seemed like it had potential. The tuna was decent. This did not seem like a $45 value to me at all.

Sadly before I could finish my meal, I had to rush my wife home before her allergy reaction kicked in.

At a restaurant of this caliber, I would suggest they train their staff to handle allergies a bit better, and how to cook the small steaks properly.

I wouldn’t recommend against trying it, hopefully you will have better luck...

The restaurant has a nice and cool vibe to it! it’s definitely a nice change. Food there was phenomenal. Best meal all week that we have been here in obx. the crab was to die for and oysters were heavenly. i had the halibut with asparagus and asian slaw. it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My dad had the chicken sandwich with fries and he said it was his favorite meal so far and had no complaints. the bread basket was a nice assortment of warm rolls with flavorful butters. they had very yummy specials and the gooey butter cake was melt in my mouth. the key lime pie was just average tbh. All the sauces they use to accompany the dishes really hit the spot.

Unfortunately the service was not that great which sucks because the food was amazing. other servers seemed dedicated and determined but our server although very kind and friendly she was just very slow. Once we were sat it took 15 minutes just to get drinks and refills were hard to ask for and took a while to arrive. she also forgot the bread we ordered and took it away still half full. She was just genuinely slow but that’s ok maybe she was having an off day. I would definitely recommend and i...
