Cannot say enough great things about Outer Banks Boil Company! I used the online request for the initial scheduling. My first date was already booked, but they scheduled me another day, then called to let me know vs. Just saying they were booked. They give a ton of flexibility in ordering and changes up to a couple days before the event. On the confirmation phone call they seemed truly excited to do our Boil for us, not just another tourist coming to their island. Ordering was completely simply and fun! Now comes the Boil...AMAZING. Wilson showed up right on schedule (4pm). He had been to the house before and had suggestions on where to set up the cooking station and the final presentation. He had great stories and personality and made the process fun. It was like hanging out with a family member as he cooked and told us about the island, things to do, and the company. He took care of evrything! Once everything was cooked and setup (about an hour) he brought the pot up to the kitchen and made a show of the food presentation. He explained what all was in the pot and sauces, rubs, etc. He ducked out as we began to eat to let our family enjoy. The food was incredible! Everything was cooked and perfectly. It was fun to dig in and get our hands dirty. The kids were trying shrimp and crab, the adults were chowing down. After getting my fill I went and found Wilson who was outside letting us enjoy the amazing food. He came up and cleaned up the space and utensils, offered to help pack up leftovers, and talked a bit more with the family. Great job to Wilson and the entire staff for creating a great experience and memory for our family. It kicked off our Outer Banks trip and will be a go to when we come back and is highly recommended for those looking for great food and an awesome eating experience (without all the fuss!!!).
Thank you,

Read moreThe Ordering / pickup process : smooth and easy. We called to pre-order our pots the day we were planning to cook them.
The cooking (we did this at our house rental) : the instructions were simple and were clearly explained to us when we picked up the pots, and they were also printed out in case we forgot any details. The pots took a lot longer to come to a boil than we were anticipating - roughly 2 hours. Unsure of why… I don’t see this reported in other reviews so it was probably something we were doing wrong! The instructions require you to add about 2 cups of liquid: any combination of water, beer or wine - we used beer.
The food : we had potatoes, corn, crab, muscles, clams, shrimp, key lime pie, coleslaw, cornbread. Everything was a hit amongst the entire family. I loved it all too, but was most impressed with the key lime pie. Two weeks prior to visiting obx, I was on a trip down to the Florida Keys and tasted many key lime pies - this one was up there with the best I tried in the keys.
All in all, the food was fantastic and we will be ordering seafood boils from this company on our annual trip to obx, as well as from the Jersey shore location that they’re planning to open. I deducted one star only because our pots were supposed to include sausage and onion, but they were not in ours pots… hopefully they’ll be...
Read moreWe planned our trip to OBX back in January. There were 14 of us ready for our August 2020 family vacation. While reading up on the latest Covid restrictions that may be implemented in Corolla, I stumbled upon the Outerbanks Boil Company. I read about their offerings and thought this would be a great alternative to going out to eat. I told our family about it and everybody agreed that they would like to give the place a try. It sounded lime a fun dinner. We opted for the catering option. Well we were right. JC showed up, asked where he could set up and began cooking. He did everything. He even set the table. When dinner was ready, he emtied the pot onto our dining room table. Again there were 14 of us and the table sat 16. It was a huge table and didn't look like there would be enough food. Were we ever wrong. We had the standard pot plus we added Alaskan King Crab legs and scallops. They food was awesome. And there was more than enough. It was a fun dinner. We are already planning next years trip and the Outer Banks Boil Company will definitely be part of our vacation plans. We will just have to order more scallops than we did this time. Never tasted scallops so good. The seasonings and cocktail sauce are second to none. Wow! Thanks for one hell of a great dinner OBX Company. We will...
