Philly Steak Subs — Restaurant in Corolla

My wife and I went in the business two days in a row. The first day it was fine even though we felt the manager (Guy) kept looking at us from behind the bar! Made my wife kinda uncomfortable but we ignored it and kept eating. Day two we went to the business but this time we had brought a couple of chicken wings from food Lion across the parking lot. So we order our food and drinks and sat at the table. Just like day 1 the manager kept watching. So our food came and my wife was starting to eat, I had already started eating my wings and the manager (guy) came over and ask did we buy anything from there? We looked at him and showed him that we spent money there and at that time I felt disrespected so I asked him did he want me to leave? He throw his hands up and walked away. Not even a minute later his wife come over and said that we can’t have the food (wings) in there because of food allergies someone may have. Now okay but they sell wings! So she went back and forth with me and asked me to leave. I left but my question is I spent money there not one day but two days and I can’t sit down and eat? Or was it because of my color? It wasn’t anyone else in there that looked like me and he had been watching us since the first day. I wasn’t sitting in there just for the A/C i actually spent money there. They will not get a dime from me again and not to mention they food is pricey and isn’t tasty. Just being honest. This is...

Walked in and ordered a 7 inch steak and cheese food was amazing love this place for food (LOCAL) so I gave the KIND lady working the register a hundred dollar bill and my total came to 9.07 and told her I had the 7 cents...she said i already punched it in...so i put my 7 cents back in my wallet...and was kind of shocked when she didnt know to just give me a whole dollar instead of 93 cents back.......I then proceeded to the bathroom and when I came back out, i heard the lady telling the other lady (who's been here for a few years now) oh yea I was just like ""have a good day", I love customers like that" in a high pitch voice......while the other lady told her "she can hear you" as if I wasn't standing right there...lol...as i was leaving i walked back up to the counter where the lady stood and told her..."its simple math maybe you shouldnt be working a regiater if you cant do simple math" smiled and left with my very DELICIOUS sandwich.....very bad experience today with this place...def having to find another steak place because a server/cashier's attitude is way more of an impact then anyone's...

If I say we've been coming here for +10 years, it's likely closer to +15 years. We've enjoyed the food and the place is always packed so it was odd to walk in and see only a few patrons inside. I noticed they no longer serve alcohol but didn't assume this was the reason for the drop in volume. Once we received our food, I quickly realized this place was dealing with other issues affecting the drop in business. We waited a fair amount of time for our food, which is fine except the place wasn't busy, everyone's food was COLD and the portions were nearly half what they used to be! My wife's sub had no cheese and mine appeared to be prepared with a tiny portion of left over steak meat sitting in the corner of the grill. The two couples joining us were equally disappointed and for similar reasons.

Their prices are higher than ever, which is somewhat expected for the area and current inflation but $32 for two disappointing subs (no drinks) is a bit more than I'm willing to pay. Sadly, this was likely our last visit to an...
