Food Lion — Local services in Corolla

I was at food lion the Saturday before memorial Day. The supermarket was very busy, VERY BUSY AND CROWDED. This was the type of crowd that normally would have me driving to a competitor. But Food Lion had a young lady (an employee) standing on the customer side of the cashier's line. Almost like a concierge. I must say Food Lion - that position is a brilliant idea! She did an excellent job in managing the lines of customers waiting to be attended to. I don't think Food Lion truly understands the value of having the right person in that position and this young lady was the right employee in the right position. This particular young lady was very professional, effective and customer oriented. She made what could have been frustrating afternoon into a very pleasant trip to the supermarket. I actually returned and spend more in my second trip than I did on my first trip just because of the way the young lady...

Honestly love this food lion...I loved the students who came in and helped during the summer Missy Jennifer Dan and Danny are all fantastic and helpful beyond belief...but the experience I just had with a register woman at register 1 was absolutely horrendous...Jeanie...throwing my paper towels at me ..and I even said you don't have to throw my stuff at me...and then continued to just throw my hand soap in the bag like she didn't care or have any concern...and had attitude....and then couldn't pick up the cases of 12 pack of water...I haven't seen her all summer so apparently the help they've got now is completely rude and not what I experienced ALL summer working with this food lion...I'm sorry but definitely will not go back to that food lion if I have any dealings with that lady who rang me...

Experience could have been better... Some of the employees kept staring at me while I was shopping with my family. As I was trying to check out, they all seemed to gather and talk near me. When I needed to exit the cashier and store, they stood in the way and wouldn't move. This made it very awkward. Some of the employees were around the store stocking at the time as well and they were very polite. The grocery store itself was nice however they had a display of fruits and veggies near the front of the store with no bags... Meaning my family and I had to walk to the end of the store just to grab bags for the produce. This was very inconvenient as my grandfather has to ask where the bags where because they weren't in a...
