I had never heard of Copperlocks before but decided to give it a try. This is the location of Green River in Corona. I ordered two burgers and, while waiting in my car, I noticed through the window that the cook was handling the food without gloves. He slapped the patties onto the buns, wiped his hands on his apron, pressed the buns together, wiped his hands again, placed the assembled burgers into the bag, then wiped his hands on a wet towel sitting on top of chopped lettuce—before wiping his hands once more on his visibly dirty apron. All of this was done casually while he chatted and laughed with a female worker.
When she brought the food to the drive-thru window, I refused it, didn't even want to touch the bag and politely requested a refund. I explained my concern about the lack of gloves, to which she responded that they never wear gloves—it's not part of their standard procedure. She then became defensive, refused to issue a refund, and told me to speak with the owner the next day if I wanted my money back.
I never returned and never will. That place is unsanitary, and the service was terrible. I will be sharing this experience on my company’s social media and informing all my friends and business partners. As a member of the Corona Chamber, Rotary Club, and Elk’s Lodge, I will make sure they hear about this unacceptable food handling and poor...
Read moreI may need to give Copperlocks another try, but for now it's a 3/5. The Fried Zucchini was awesome, and their homemade Ranch is really good. So, for the Pastrami, my standards are pretty high, especially if this is what the Gal recommended. To start, it was served upside-down on the plate. It was barely warm, and the cheese never melted (see Pic). The Pastrami meat was dry most likely because the charred-ends meant it was left on the flat top too long. Lastly, the Copperlocks Fries could have been better. They were served to me (while I was dining in) in a to-go box, and by the time I opened the box, the fries were mushy. I could tell they were not freshly fried, because they should have been as hot & crispy as the Fried Zucchini. I get it, there are some things to work on within the first few weeks of opening, and that's why I said I'll give them...
Read moreThe African American girl(sorry I don’t know her name)is very rude. I’m always nice and respectful whenever I talk to people. She had no reason to be so mean. I wasn’t expecting to be treated like royalty. I don’t expect much out of anyone these days. But to be ignored, receive eye rolls and the window slammed in my face mid sentence is just insane. I realize the nature of her job. I know its not easy dealing with people. If a customer is being rude, I’m all for an employee defending themselves and giving it right back to the customer. But thats not what happened here. This girl needs an attitude adjustment or she’s going to be working fast food the rest of her life. Nobody will hire an attitude like that. I don’t spend money at places that treat me like dirt. If you can’t even manage a “Hello” or at least one “Thank you” I’ll...
