Banda's — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

Hey 👋😊 y'all, I'm letting you know that I went to Banda's restaurant on Port St. I had the "drum" plate. It came with one large fillet of drum, 3 potato wedges, I also ordered mushrooms, onion rings, extra tartar sauce, rolls and jalapeno poppers. I have to say that I forgot to ask that the drum be blackened, so it came fried. Anyway, it was delicious and the mushrooms 🍄 were good as well as the onion rings, as for the poppers, wellllll? I was so full that I put them in the fridge and had them the following day. What happened is that the poppers were hollow? Yep that's what I said, no cheese only bits of jalapeno in the fried batter. So I called the restaurant and explained what had happened. Fortunately I spoke with the son of the owner and I was truly surprised that he was so professional and courteous about what happened. He took my information and told me that whenever I could come by there he would leave a message to replace the poppers Free of charge. Great service and making me whole, thanks again Banda's!!!! You guys ROCK 💪 So if you are on Port St. And you want some great seafood Banda's restaurant is clean and has a very good atmosphere as well as the employees and owners, they want to make good food and make it right if it is not right. I love to try new seafood places, hoping I can get a great meal at a good price, well this was not the place. Location was like the other vacant buildings that litter Port Ave. Menu looked awesome snapper, drum oh yeah. I ordered a shrimp, fish and oyster plate (no sides come with), and an order of fried mushrooms and a crab. Well I waited longer then an other customer, I was second to order, later to get my food, sad. OK the great review, the food. It looked awesome on the platters, no excess grease, nice and hot, looked amazing. I tried the oyster first and boom it was very salty and very dry and chewy. It broke my heart to throw away the rest, the cook really hooked me up.. but fell short...shrimp looked pre made tasted old. The fish was very good though, very tasty and very hot.. The crab cake looked like it came.from Sam's Club freezer , very bad. The mushroon looked huge right potion, very nice, they were hot and man I liked them more then the...

I recently visited this restaurant after a long time, and boy, did it exceed my expectations! The fish and shrimp were cooked to perfection, with a delightful crispy exterior that complemented the tender interior. The potato wedges were absolutely awesome - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. What impressed me even more was the great value for money; the prices were reasonable considering the quality of food served.

The staff were friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant's cleanliness was also noteworthy, reflecting the establishment's commitment to quality.

Overall, I'd rate this restaurant a well-deserved 10 out of 10. The food, service, and ambiance all came together to create a fantastic dining experience. I'm already looking forward to...
