Googly's — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

First off we love their food it's very good! The reason I am giving it 1 star is their customer service was horrible. I called on a Friday evening around 8:20 to place a delivery. I was to tired to go anywhere to pick up food for the family since just finished a 13 hour shift from work. I just had a delivery from them Tuesday night so we where getting them twice in one week. We get Googlys either once a week or every other since there a variety of different dishes. Well I gave the young girl my phone number and address and she said they don't deliver to us. I told her I just had a delivery this past Tuesday and she can check with manager Daisy because they where suppose to replace a pizza that they got mixed up with another customer. She told Daisy wasn't there and we are out of their delivery range I said ok fine. So I hung up I used Google map to see the mile radius we are 3.2 miles away. So I called back to explain to the KID how many miles away we where from them she said their delivery is up to 4.3 miles away. I told her the difference and I said that puts us in range but her map says no. So at this point I am assuming she is failing geography in HIGH SCHOOL. So I also explain to her Googlys ad says "If you live on the south side let us cook and deliver to you" well I do live on the south side 3.2 miles away. I asked for the manager she put me on hold for a few minutes came back and told me that her manager is out on delivery. I am sure the manager was there and didn't want to deal with the complaint from me since I can be a bit sarcastic. The KID told me to call back in 10 mins so i waited and gave them 15 mins got the same answer. So I called back again gave them another 15 mins same answer. At this point it's 9:30 and they would be closing at 10. So there was no way of getting dinner delivered my family which would of been a $70 + order family of 6 I am a gracious tipper to. So i was to pissed off to keep calling then we ordered pizza. I didn't eat dinner that night it was to late I had to be up for work at 3:50 am. Now you have lost a customer due to a KID that probably mistyped my address in her maps and a manager that just didn't want to listen. We won't be spending my hard earned money there anymore. I hope this review helps this company out about how customer service is VERY IMPORTANT to a business to be successful . But man I'm going to miss that food it is delish good luck Googlys hope you get better customer...

Two stars because their wasn't much good too it the only reason I'm giving two is because it was edible .

1st they don't know how to cook meat medium rare

2nd is their attitude I get it's a pizza place but the employees for the most part didn't hardly pay any attention to the cosutmomers , when we had issues with our meals the chef actually came out to ARGUE with my senior ,veteran friend who also worked for MANY years as a chef himself, they were extremely disrespectful to him and the lady was VERY rude when he just asked for a to go box since they couldn't get the order right, when he brought them his VERY well done sandwich they snatched it out of his hands .

If you can't make something a certain way JUST say so don't tell someone you can do it when they order it a certain way then keep messing it up 😂, honestly it would have been MUCH better had they said we arn't able to do that OR offer to get him something else if they couldn't, not argue and pop an attitude.

My fiance got their Googleys special Pizza their wasn't much special about it and I got one of their pasta dishes

And honestly the texture and how it tastes I could have spent waaaay less going to Walmart and getting a frozen pizza and microwavable pasta dish , the fries were also soggy 🤢

I do not see myself going back unless picking up a delivery...

We went to the Staples location yesterday and were not impressed. The service was great. However, the food was not. Our fried pickles were very tasty but that is where it ends. My daughter had French toast and chose chocolate chips as her topping. The chips were not infact chips but bigger round discs of not milk but dark chocolate which she dislikes. She was not able to eat her meal for there was too much dark chocolate and the extreme sweetness gave her a stomach ache. My omelette was ok but I found the chicken sausage a strange decision versus traditional pork sausage. My omelette was a little dry so I asked for a form of salsa or hot sauce to which my server replied, with embarrassment, that I would be charged for it. My hash-browns were in fact not hash browns but squares fried potatoes with little taste. My son had a waffle and chose strawberries as a topping. We expected fresh cut strawberries but in fact got a mushy jelly thick like strawberry topping in excess on his waffle. Again, way too sweet. He didn’t eat it. Very disappointed when after the upcharge for the topping it was a $9 waffle he did not eat. Won’t...
